The four-team tournament will also feature Richmond, High Point and Bellarmine. Air Force will face fourth-seeded Bellarmine on Thursday, May 5, at 5 p.m. ET. National Polls The Falcons are 12th in both the Cascade/Maverik Media Polls and the USILA/NIKE Division I Men s Lacrosse Coaches Poll following their win over Jacksonville, Apr. 30. The Falcons first broke into national polls on March 21. Air Force has ranked as high as No. 9 in the media polls this season. The streak marks the longest win streak in school history and is the longest active streak in the nation. The Falcons are third in the nation in win percentage (0.867). A four-overtime win at Marist initiated the Falcon win streak. Nine of the 13 wins have been by three goals or less, nine of the wins have come on the road, three wins came in overtime and seven of the wins were in conference matchups. # Faceoff Classic in Denver, Colo. * Southern Conference Game ^ SoCon Tournament, Richmond, Va. All times local to site and subject to change The Coach Head coach Eric Seremet (North Carolina, 1992) is in his eighth season as the Falcons head coach. He has a school and career record of Seremet came to the Academy in 2002 and spent seven seasons as an assistant coach under Fred Acee. The 2014 USILA Division I Coach of the Year, Seremet led Air Force to its best season ever in 2014, as the Falcons compiled an 11-6 overall record and secured their highest win total since The Falcons clinched a share of the regular season conference title before going on to win the ECAC Tournament title, earning their first NCAA bid since The SoCon Tournament Competition will begin Thursday with a showdown between Air Force, who took outright regular-season title with their win against Jacksonville, and No. 4 seed Bellarmine (6-8, 4-3 SoCon), at 5 p.m. ET. In Thursday s second game, No. 2 seed Richmond (10-4, 6-1 SoCon) and No. 3 seed High Point (9-5, 5-2 SoCon) will face off at 7:30 p.m ET. The contest will be a rematch of last year s title game, which HPU won 9-8 in double overtime. On March 27, the Spiders beat the Panthers 7-3 in the teams regularseason meeting. Both semifinal winners will enjoy a day off before battling for the SoCon crown on Saturday at noon. Series vs. Bellarmine Air Force and Bellarmine will meet for the 12th time in program history and for the second time this season. Air Force leads the series, 8-3. Air Force edged Bellarmine, 8-7 in overtime, April 2. The teams met in 2006, at Falcon Stadium and Air Force won, 9-7. 2 2016 AIR FORCE LACROSSE --- PAGE 2 Scouting the Knights The Knights earned a spot in the tournament on Saturday by racing past Furman at home, The Knights capped their regular season at 6-8 overall and 4-3 in the SoCon. Junior A/M Tucker Ciessau leads the Knights with 35 points from 22 goals and 13 assists. Junior A/M Jack Perkins is second on the team with 25 points ( ). Bellarmine is second in the SoCon in face-off winning percentage, winning 54.9% of their face-offs. Sophomore midfielder Connor Harryman leads the conference in face-off win percentage, winning 59.3% of face-offs. Harryman also leads the SoCon in ground balls per game (5.08). Bellarmine goalkeeper Chase Rose is second in the conference with a 9.18 goals against average. Jack Perkins is second in the SoCon with six individual man-up goals. The Knights have the third best scoring defense in the conference (9.07). Falcons in the Southern Conference The Falcons are perfect in conference action, winning six SoCon matches in is as many tries. Most recently, the Falcons topped SoCon powerhouse, Richmond, 9-8, April 23, in Richmond, Va. The Falcons also posted conference wins over VMI, 13-3, Mercer, 15-13, Bellarmine, 8-7, High Point, 13-4 and Furman, 14-4, in the SoCon season opener. Air Force leads the conference and clinched the top seed in the SoCon tournament following the win over Richmond. The SoCon is Air Force s third conference in the history of the program. Air Force was a member of the Great Western Lacrosse League (GWLL) from From , Air Force was a member of the ECAC, winning the ECAC post-season tournament in Air Force was an independent in Last season, Air Force faced six of the seven other teams from the SoCon. The Falcons have posted three sweeps of the conference s weekly lacrosse awards. Doug Gouchoe is the only defensive player in the SoCon to have Defensive Player of the Month honors. Air Force Sweeps the SoCon Annual Awards Regular-season champion Air Force swept the Southern Conference men s lacrosse postseason awards as voted on by the league s head coaches, the conference office announced, May 3. Falcon attacker Chris Walsch was tabbed SoCon Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Doug Gouchoe was named Defensive Player of the Year. Head coach Eric Seremet and defender Brandon Jones made it a clean sweep, taking Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year accolades, respectively. GOAIRFORCEFALCONS.COM

3 2016 AIR FORCE LACROSSE --- PAGE 3 Walsch earned offensive honors by racking up 29 goals, 25 assists and a league-leading 54 points this season. The sophomore from Hampstead, Md., also notched four game-winning scores during the 2016 campaign, which tied for most in the SoCon. Walsch scored on 35.4 percent of his shots and netted goals on 65.9 percent of his shots that were on frame. His signature performance came in a seven-point effort in a 10-9 upset at then-no. 9 Duke on March 22, capped by a game-winner in the waning seconds of overtime. Walsch earned league offensive player of the week honors three times and was named offensive player of the month for March. Gouchoe led the league in goals against average (6.93) among players who appeared in more than seven games and was also tops in save percentage (.572) among players who appeared in more than 11 contests. The four-time defensive player of the week selection and two-time player of the month honoree had one of his best performances when he stymied Duke s third-ranked scoring offense with 17 saves. He also recorded a season-high 19 stops at Marist on Feb. 20, the second-most in a game this season in the SoCon. Jones, a newcomer from Upper Arlington, Ohio, led Air Force with 24 caused turnovers and was fourth in the conference and 22nd nationally with 1.53 caused turnovers per game. The Freshman of the Year pick also collected 36 ground balls for the Falcons this season, which ranked second on the team. Seremet, who is in his seventh season at the reigns of Air Force, took Coach of the Year distinction in his squad s first season in the league, helping guide the Falcons to a 13-2 overall mark and a perfect 7-0 record in conference play. Air Force achieved its highest ranking in program history by climbing up to No. 9 in the Cascade/Maverik media poll on April 18. Air Force had a league-high seven All-SoCon selections, including five first-team picks, followed by Richmond (six total), High Point (five), Bellarmine (four), Jacksonville and Mercer (two) and VMI (one). Air Force s scoring defense is second best in the nation while man-down defense is third. The Falcons also lead the conference in scoring margin (3.13) and shooting percentage (0.312). They rank second in the conference in scoring offense (10.33) and points per game (15.40) and are third in the conference in assists per game (5.07) and man-up offense (0.353). Chris Walsch leads the team with 54 points from 29 goals and 25 assists on the season. He is third in the SoCon in points per game (3.60) and assists per game (1.67). Sophomore attacker Nick Hruby is second on the team with 35 points ( ) while senior midfielder Christopher Allen is third with 34 points ( ). Walsch and Allen lead the team in shots with 82 apiece and are tied for fourth in the conference in goals per game (1.93). Sophomore Josh Radjenovich leads the team with 68 ground balls and 140 faceoff wins. Radjenovich ranks third in the conference in ground balls per game (4.53) and faceoff win percentage (.559). Freshman Brandon Jones leads the Falcons with 24 caused turnovers; a mark good enough for fifth in the conference in caused turnovers per game (1.53). 4 2016 AIR FORCE LACROSSE --- PAGE 4 The Walsch File The Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year has netted a goal in 18 of his last 19 games dating back to last season. The sophomore attacker has started and played in all 30 career games and has logged goals in 27 of 30 appearances. He has four hat tricks on the season and 13 in his career, including a double-hat trick against Jacksonville in the 2015 season. Walsch has scored 18 points on eight goals and 10 assists in the last five games. Walsch has proven clutch with game-winners on four occasions this season. He had the game winning goal in the fourth-overtime over Marist on Feb. 20, and the game winning goal with 10 seconds left in overtime in the upset over then-no.11 Duke. With just over two minutes left in a tie game against Mercer, Walsch netted his third game-winner of the season. Last season, Walsch s 37 goals tied as the second most, and the most ever by a freshman, in the Air Force Academy modern era (since 1993 when Air Force joined the GWLL, a full Division I conference). Walsch s 55 points last season are the third most in the modern era and the most ever by a freshman. Allen Leads from the Front Christopher Allen has logged at least one goal in 12 consecutive games since Feb. 20. He has found the nylon in 14 of 15 games this season and has netted 10 goals in the last five games. He scored his 12th career hat trick against Jacksonville on April 30; his fourth hat trick in seven league games. Allen and Walsch Aim for the Record Books (in the Modern Era, Since 1993) Allen logged his 100th career point against Richmond, Apr. 23. Following his hat trick against Jacksonville, Apr. 30, Allen has logged 85 career goals, which ties Chris MacAulay ( ) for most career goals in program history. Walsch tallied his 100th career point against VMI on Apr. 16. Walsch currently has 109 career points, a mark good enough for most on the team and sixth best in program history. Walsch is tied for sixth in career goals (66) and is fifth in career assists (43). As it stands, Walsch is sixth and Allen is seventh for career points in program history. The current career points leader is Chris MacAulay, with 146 career points from At the conclusion of his freshman season, Walsch ranked second in program history for points in a single season (55), the most ever by a freshman in the modern era. As it stands, the Hampstead, Maryland native is six points shy of the single-season points record. He also broke into the record books in 2015 for single-season goals as he is tied with MacAulay for first at 37, he is eight goals shy of the mark this season. This season, Walsch has already found a place in the all-time record books in three categories. Walsch has 54 points on the 2016 season, which is third most in program history and one point shy of his freshman season record (55). His 29 goals and 25 assists thus far on the season tie him for fifth most in a single season in each category. Gouchoe a Top Defender The Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year has helped lead the Falcons to a 13-2 overall record with a perfect mark in league action this season. He made a career high 19 saves in the four-overtime win over Marist, Feb. 20. He also played a significant role in a pair of Air Force wins over Dartmouth and Sacred Heart as he made 18 saves in the two games. Gouchoe was invaluable in the upset against then-no.9 Duke as he logged 17 saves against the third-best scoring offense in the nation. In all games this season, Gouchoe leads the SoCon in goals against average (6.91) and save percentage (.572), marks good enough for second and eighth in the nation, respectively. Gouchoe has made his mark on the Falcon lacrosse record books with his goalkeeping merits. As it stands, he has the best goals against average in a single season in program history (6.93). His single-season save percentage (.572) is seventh best in program history. He is currently third in program history in career saves (372). Last Week Air Force concluded regular season action with a win over league foe Jacksonville, 11-6, Saturday, Apr. 30, in Jacksonville, Fla. The win marked the Falcons 13th straight victory and seventh straight win in the SoCon, making the Falcons best overall and conference finish in modern era history. Jacksonville concluded their season at 3-10, 1-6 SoCon. Allen led the Falcons with three goals while Walsch led the team in assists with three. Eight Falcons logged goals on the game. Smith finished with two goals while Hruby, Carter, Rohrbach, Duenes, Radjenovich and Larkin each had a goal apiece. Gouchoe finished the game with six saves while the Dolphin goalkeeper logged 12.
