It will generally be for an achievement developed in the last five years which has been successfully implemented or completed within the last 12 months, resulting in a significant contribution to land-based technology. THE SUBSEA PIPELINE AWARD Promoting promote the development of new ideas in the general field of subsea pipeline technology, including risers, flowlines and umbilicals. It will generally be for an achievement developed in the last five years which has been successfully implemented or completed within the last 12 months, resulting in a significant contribution to subsea pipeline technology. THE UTILITIES PIPELINE AWARD Promoting the development of new ideas in the general field of utility pipeline technology; its scope includes any aspect of utility pipeline engineering, including design, construction, operation and maintenance. Guest Speaker Gyles Brandreth Gyles Brandreth a writer, broadcaster, former MP and Government Whip and one of Britain's most sought-after award ceremony hosts and after-dinner speakers.

At 22, he turned professional and since then he has spoken all over the world, in venues as varied as the Helmsley Palace, New York and Buckingham Palace, London.

Gyles Brandreth won his first prize as a public speaker as a schoolboy of fifteen. At Oxford, aged twenty, he was elected President of the Oxford Union. At 22, he turned professional and since then he has spoken all over the world, in venues as varied as the Helmsley Palace, New York and Buckingham Palace, London. His audiences have ranged from the executives of Coca-Cola to a silent order of nuns, from a thousand bankers in Frankfurt to ten thousand members of the WI at Wembley Arena. To facilitate this, there are a number of options available to you to welcome and entertain your guests:. 1 Hosted bars Hosted bars are located close to the main function room and are an ideal opportunity to entertain your guests before and after the function. The hosted bar provides an individual table with dedicated hotel staff member to serve your pre-ordered drinks and canapés. They can be booked on a first-come, firstserved basis. Bookings are required at least 48 hours prior to the function. 2 Private rooms There are a range of private rooms and private suites available for entertainment.
