2 STUDIO e PROJECTS Page 2 of 11 Cutting Cutting Instructions Please Note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge unless otherwise noted. WOF= Width of Fabric LOF = Length of Fabric Fabric A ( Pumpkin/Cat/Web Black), cut: (1) 16 ½ x 22 ½ strip. Fabric B ( Candy Corn Cream), cut: (2) 2 ½ x WOF strips, sub-cut (21) 2 ½ squares. See instructions to cut (5) large banners. See instructions to cut (9) small banners. Fabric C ( Dot Orange), cut: (2) 2 ½ x WOF strips, sub-cut (21) 2 ½ squares. Fabric D ( Dot Black), cut: (1) 7 ½ x 30 ½ WOF strip. (1) 6 ½ x 30 ½ WOF strip. Fabric E ( Candy Corn Black), cut: (1) 4 ½ x WOF strip, sub-cut (2) 4 ½ squares. Fabric F ( Pumpkins Orange), cut: (1) 4 ½ x WOF strip, sub-cut (4) 4 ½ squares. Fabric G ( Pumpkins Black), cut: (1) 4 ½ x WOF strip, sub-cut (2) 4 ½ squares. Fabric H ( Witch Accessories Orange), cut: (1) 4 ½ x WOF strip, sub-cut (4) 4 ½ squares. Fabric I ( Witch Accessories Gray), cut: (1) 4 ½ x WOF strip, sub-cut (2) 4 ½ squares. Butterscotch), cut: See instructions to cut one moon. See instructions to cut four stars. Fabric O (1351-Cream Just Color! Cream), cut: See instructions to cut (9) stars. Fabric P (1351-Brown Just Color! Brown), cut: (2) 1 ½ x 26 ½ WOF strips. (2) 1 ½ x 22 ½ WOF strips. Backing ( Witch Accessories Cream), cut: (1) 38 x 49 strip Sewing Sew using a ¼ seam allowance with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise indicated. Always press towards the darker fabric while assembling, unless otherwise noted by the arrows. Block Assembly 1. Following the manufacturer s instructions, trace the listed number of each template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about ⅛ outside the drawn lines. 2. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines. 3. Refer to the Figure 1 to arrange and press the (3) pumpkins, pumpkin faces, (5) stars, (1) stem and moon onto the Fabric A background. Fig Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make the center block.

Sew this strip to the left side of the center block.

Sew this strip to the right side of the center block (Fig. 2). 6.

Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the center block (Fig. 3). Fig. 2 Fig.

4 STUDIO e PROJECTS Page 4 of 11 Quilt Top 5. Sew (6) 2 ½ Fabric C squares and (5) 2 ½ Fabric B squares together, alternating them, to make (1) strip. Sew this strip to the left side of the center block. Sew (6) 2 ½ Fabric B squares and (5) 2 ½ Fabric C squares together, alternating them, to make (1) strip. Sew this strip to the right side of the center block (Fig. 2). 6. Sew (5) 2 ½ Fabric B squares and (5) 2 ½ Fabric C squares together, alternating them, to make (1) strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the center block (Fig. 3). Fig. 2 Fig Sew (1) 1 ½ x 26 ½ Fabric P strip to each side of the center block. Sew (1) 1 ½ x 22 ½ Fabric P strip to the top and to the bottom of the center block (Fig. 4). 8. Sew (7) assorted 4 ½ squares together to make (1) strip. Repeat to make a second strip. 5 STUDIO e PROJECTS Page 5 of Repeat Steps 1-4 using (1) bias strip, (5) large banners, (5) large letters, (4) stars and the 7 ½ x 30 ½ Fabric D strip to make the top border (Fig. 6). Fig Sew the border to the top of the center block (Fig. 7). Fig Repeat Steps 1-4 using (1) bias strip, (9) small banners, (9) small letters, (4) stars and the 6 ½ x 30 ½ Fabric D strip to make the bottom border (Fig. 8). Fig. 8

Layer backing (wrong side up), batting, pressed quilt top (right side up) and baste. Quilt as desired and trim excess batting and backing when quilting is complete. Binding 14. Cut the ends of the (4) binding strips at 45-degree angles and sew end to end to make (1) continuous piece of binding. Fold in half lengthwise and press wrong sides together. 15. Sew the binding to the front of the quilt, raw edges together. Turn the folded edge to the back, and hand stitch in place.
