WF= Width of Fabric F = ength of Fabric Fabric ( Floral ove Gray), cut: (4) 6 ½ x 72 ½ F strips. Fabric ( Mini Floral avender), cut: (16) 1 ½ x WF strips. Sew the strips together, end to end with diagonal seams, and cut (8) 1 ½ x 72 ½ strips. Fabric ( Floral avender), cut: (1) 6 ½ x WF strip, sub-cut (2) 6 ½ x 8 ½ strips. Fabric (Magenta-42 Peppered ottons Magenta), cut: (2) 1 ½ x WF strips, sub-cut (24) 1 ½ x 3 ½ strips. Fabric ( Floral k. rown), cut: (3) 6 ½ x WF strips, sub-cut (12) 6 ½ x 8 ½ strips. Place (1) 2 Fabric square on the top left corner of (1) 6 ½ x 8 ½ Fabric strip, right sides together (Fig. 1). Sew across the diagonal of the small square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 1). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 2). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼ away from the sewn seam. Fig. 1 Fig Follow Figure 3 for the seam direction to add a 2 Fabric square to each of the remaining corners of the 6 ½ x 8 ½ Fabric strip to make (1) -block (Fig. 4). Roughly cut out each template about 1/8 outside the drawn lines. 6. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. ut out each template on the drawn lines. 7. Refer to the quilt photo to arrange and press the (12) Fabric N handles onto (12)2 ½ x 6 ½ Fabric strips. 8. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make (12) andle blocks (Fig. 6). make 12 make 4 Fig Sew (1) 1 ½ x 2 Fabric strip to each side of (1) 1 ½ x 3 ½ Fabric strip to make (1) strip (Fig. 7). Sew (4) lantern blocks and (4) 6 ½ x 8 ½ Fabric strips together, alternating them, to make olumn ne. Repeat to make olumn Three. 15. Sew (4) 6 ½ x 8 ½ Fabric strips and (4) lantern blocks together, alternating them, to make olumn Two. 16. Sew the (4) strips and the (3) columns, in numerical order, together, alternating them, to make the quilt top. ayering, Quilting and Finishing 17. Press the quilt top and 64 x 80 backing well. ayer backing (wrong side up), batting, pressed quilt top (right side up) and baste. Quilt as desired and trim excess batting and backing when quilting is complete. inding 18. ut the ends of the (7) Fabric M binding strips at a 45-degree angle and sew end to end to make (1) continuous piece of binding. Fold in half lengthwise and press wrong sides together. I 19. Sew the binding to the front of the quilt, raw edges together. Turn the folded edge to the back, and hand stitch in place.
