2 Masterclass Overview Deepwater petroleum systems are considered to be the last resource of light oil in accessible terrain. Investing in deepwater venture involves high risk and high rewards, making a very small room for error on project execution. This four-day course tackles elements of deepwater depositional petroleum system from the exploration to developmental stage in the geological, geophysical, engineering perspectives. The course covers deepwater exploration planning, analysis of seismic images, core & outcrop characteristics of deepwater reservoirs, and reservoir characteristics and performance. Participants will learn about the critical deepwater settings, answering questions regarding the extent and distribution of reservoir, porosity, permeability, & compartmentalization and connectivity of deepwater petroleum systems. Participants will be immersed with a broad spectrum of case studies of deepwater depositional system seen from exploration and developmental standpoints. They will also learn the techniques to identify reservoir quality and hydrocarbon indicators in a deepwater setting, understanding transport and depositional processes, and geologic modeling. Aside from examples on global systems, special attention will be given to deepwater settings in the Southeast Asian region. Lastly, the economic aspects will be given a key role in relation to reservoir performance. Masterclass Objectives Organize a proper planning from right from the beginning of a deepwater exploration to developmental stage Understand drivers of deepwater reservoir deposition Put into exploration context the characteristics of turbidite reservoirs through the understanding relationship of their flow processes and turbidite deposits Identify patterns that can help establish sand content for different deepwater facies type. Learn what are the limitations of quantitative interpretation in deepwater settings Overcome the particularities of deepwater production and what can happen over time Learn the techniques in identifying reservoir quality and hydrocarbon indicators in deepwater settings Specially Designed for The course is designed for those who are in need of the fundamental knowledge on the exploration and development stage of deepwater (turbidite) depositional system Geologists Geoscientists Geophysicists PROGRAM SCHEDULE 08:00 09:00 Registration (Day1) 09:00 11:00 Session I 11:00 11:15 Refreshment & Networking Session I 11:15 13:00 Session II 13:00 14:00 14:00 15:30 Lunch Session III 15:30 15:45 Refreshment & Networking Session II 15:45 17:00 Session IV 17:00 End of Day Petrosync Quality Limited Attendees The course has limited seats to ensure maximum learning and experience for all delegates.
