1 ARCHITECTS SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS (ASI) PROJECT: Villa Joseph Marie High School - Auditorium Addition ARCHITECTS PROJECT NO: 2339 ASI NO: 001 DATE OF ISSUANCE: 12/5/2017 TO: Twining Construction Co. Inc. The work shall be carried out in accordance with the following supplemental instructions issued in accordance with the Contract Documents. Proceeding with the Work in accordance with these instructions indicates your acknowledgment that there will be no change in the Contract Sum or Contract Time. Or, if the Contractor believes that the work described shall result in an adjustment to the Contract Sum or Contact Time, the Contractor shall issue a fully itemized proposal within 10 working days. Failure to issue a proposal or written notification to the Architect within the appropriate time shall indicate the Contractor s acknowledgment that there will be no change in the Contract Sum or Contact Time. The items in this ASI are predominantly of a clarification nature, focusing on code compliance and accessibility. This ASI consists of (5) pages: Changes to Previous Addenda 1.1 Bid Addendum #1, Item No. 1.8, reference the attached Sketch SKA-1, Architectural Site Plan Parking / Signage, and modify as follows: Restripe handicap accessible route at rear of the building according to 1/A0.0. Discard layout from SKA Bid Addendum #3, Item No. 3.33, part b, modify as follows: 1. Delete Keynote 6 in its entirety and replace
2 ALL DOOR CLOSER SPEEDS SHALL COMPLY WITH ACCESSIBILITY/ ANSI REQUIREMENTS , 5 SEC MAX. 2. Delete Keynote 7 in its entirety and replace FOR TACTILE SIGNAGE: SIGN SHALL BE MOUNTED SUCH THAT TOP OF SIGN IS AT 60" ABOVE FINISH FLOOR AND BOTTOM OF SIGN IS AT 48" MINIMUM ABOVE FINISH FLOOR. ALL TACTILE SIGNAGE SHALL HAVE GRADE II BRAILLE WITH 1/32" RAISED LETTERING Changes to the Drawings 1.3 Drawing A-0.0, ARCH SITE PLAN, modify as follows: 1. At bottom of the sheet add boxed note: TOTAL PARKING SPACES FOR AUDITORIUM: 232 REQUIRED ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES: 5 A 2% MAXIMUM SLOPE ALLOWABLE FROM ACCESSIBLE SPACES TO BUILDING ENTRY Drawing A-0.1, CODE SHEET, modify as follows: 2. Under CODE PLAN KEYNOTES Delete Keynote 1 in its entirety and replace EXTENT OF NEW ADDITION; ENTIRE NEW ADDITION TO BE FULLY- SPRINKLERED WITH WET STANDPIPE SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA Under CODE PLAN KEYNOTES Delete Keynote 4A in its entirety and replace DESIGNATED WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE SEATING SPACE (33"x48") (2% MAX SLOPE) (WIDTH FOR UP TO 2 SPACES PROVIDED).
