2 Introduction- Hello! Thanks for your interest in Relic Table Co. and for taking the time to read through this collection of general information and pricing. The goal of this document is to help explain exactly what we do, provide pricing information, and to streamline the ordering process for both of us as much as possible. So what is it that we do? We are a small business based out of Baltimore, MD that specializes in making rustic/farmhouse tables, cabinets, and benches. While we often mimic the reclaimed wood style, almost all of our furniture is made out of new lumber (pine and fir). Using new lumber allows us to easily customize your order in both size and color, and do so at a price that doesn't leave you needing to reclaim your bank account.!2

3 Rather than broadly saying that we specialize in building custom furniture, a better way of explaining would be to say that we primarily build customized (both size and color) versions of the existing designs on our pages ( relictables or As far as new designs, you are welcome to send us a picture of someone else's design if it looks to fit the exact style of the other designs we offer. If it is something we are interested in building we will give you a quote. As a general guideline, we generally pass on anything fancy as we choose to specialize specifically in rustic/farmhouse style pieces.!3

4 FAQ: Q: How long will it take you? A: There is typically somewhere around a 6 week turnaround due to a waitlist and actual production time. We build everything in order, first come, first serve. Feel free to ask the current turnaround when ordering, as it fluctuates a little bit. Also please let us know if you have a specific drop dead date that you would need things by and we will let you know if that will work with our timeline at the moment. Please do not us checking in unless the window of time requested by us is almost up and you have not heard from us, which would be an uncommon situation. Q: Do you deliver? A: We do offer delivery if needed. Delivery is $1.25/mile from our workshop in Randallstown, MD to your location with a $40 minimum and a 75 mile maximum, determined via gps. Delivery fee includes the help of our driver (one person) to assist in taking your order off of the delivery vehicle and into your home. At least one strong helper on your end needs to be present at the time of delivery to help carry the order in. There should be adequate parking in a driveway or a nearby parking space, and delivery should be relatively straight into the home with little or no use of stairs. If you would like help carrying items up stairs (any amount other than minimal porch stairs), or the load in will be difficult in any way, please let us know at the TIME OF ORDER and we will discuss. Often, we will just ask that you tip the driver accordingly for the additional time and service. As a small business, full service delivery is not currently something that we offer, thank you for your understanding. In ALL cases of delivery a strong helper (or several) will need to be present when our driver arrives. For dining tables longer than 8ft, there MUST be 2 helpers on the buyers end to assist in carrying the table in. They are solid wood and extremely heavy. We prefer to deliver on weekday evenings and weekends, and can generally be pretty flexible with timing. This will be coordinated with you when your order is ready.!4

5 Dining tables are typically 30 tall and will need to be turned sideways to be loaded inside. This means that any door that a dining table needs to go through needs to be at least 31. It is up to the BUYER to measure their space and figure out the logistics of bringing any and all pieces inside BEFORE ordering. We are happy to give you exact dimensions to assist in this. Unless there has been a special request before hand, everything will be delivered fully assembled. In certain situations (difficult entryways/twists and turns/elevators) the top may need to be detached from the base to get the table inside and then reattached. This additional service is +$25 and needs to be discussed at TIME OF ORDER.!5

6 Special Delivery Limitations: While we make up to 12ft dining tables, the maximum length table we can deliver is 10ft. Anything past 10ft will need to be picked up by you with a trailer or box truck from our Randallstown, MD location. Some very large orders will need to be delivered in multiple trips, each of which is subject to our delivery fee. We will bring this up at the time of order if believed to be the case. Thank you in advance for your understanding and compliance with these guidelines for delivery. In doing so, we can keep our delivery prices low and try to make the best out of the only down side of getting beautiful new furniture, moving it! Q: What types of wood do you use? A: We currently build exclusively with pine and fir. The wide boards you see on many trestle base dining table tops are doug fir, and the thinner boards typically seen on the 4 legged tables are pine. The wood type used for the dining table bases is specific to the design and is either pine, doug fir, or a combination of the two. Just about everything else is made entirely of pine. Q: Are the tables protected in any way? A: Everything we do (unless specifically requested) is protected and sealed with satin sheen polyurethane. The tops of the tables and benches get several extra coats to enhance the durability and make cleaning easy. Q: What are the color options? A: Essentially any color finish you see on any piece (usually interchangeable) on our website or our social media can be used. When ordering please include a picture (from one of our pages) or a link to the picture on our sites as an example of the finish color/s you would like. If you are wanting something else, I m happy to get it but may ask for an upfront deposit as I am then using a color I'm not familiar with.!6

7 Q: Is there an upfront deposit? A: Generally, no. For some very customized or unique orders a deposit may be required. Q: How do I place an order? A: Please orders to jon@relictables.com For each piece ordered please include: - A picture (or link) of the design - A picture (or link) of the finish color - Dimensions needed (use information in Pricing section below) - Special requests for possible tweaks in the design if desired - A timing request if you are wanting the order by (or on) a specific date. Please include a phone number for faster communication (if needed) at a later date. I will then review the order and give you the total. Pricing is firm, and will NOT include delivery (if needed). Please see above for delivery pricing. I will also include the estimated turnaround time and if we will be able to meet your requested pickup/delivery, if applicable. 8 put you on our list. We build everything in the order we get it. When your turn is up, we will contact you and confirm that you are ready right before we begin. Please let me know if there are any timeframe issues at this time (or before) that would prevent you from receiving your order in the following few days from when I reach out to you. Examples would include being out of town, delayed settlements on houses, etc. Ideally we would like to have your order picked up or delivered as soon as it's ready, as tables can be large in size and our shop space is limited. 9 All of the trestle base designs are the same price.. Please note that there are actually several variations of this design, so please specify which one you are wanting. One has a single crossbar going through it (A), one has double crossbars with V shaped supports (B), one has a single black pipe crossbar (C), and one is similar to A, only it is made of smaller stacked boards (D). Type A,B, and C are made of 100% fir, While Type D made of pine, and is recommend for lighter color stains, as the lighter color of pine does better with lighter stains.!9

22 Disclaimer and Guarantee We want you to be nothing less than THRILLED with your pieces. A lot of our heart goes into to hand crafting these tables; we want to make them something we are proud of, and something that you will cherish for a long long time. The reality is that building with solid wood means we are building with a medium that can potentially move and at times be unpredictable. DISCLAIMER ON ALL SALES: All sales are final. Please note that we are selling real wood pieces that could potentially crack, shrink or bow in certain areas. We take many many precautions to avoid this, however solid wood (of any type) is prone to change in different environments, humidity, and temperature changes in a way that we are unable to control. In the event that any of these do occur we will not offer exchanges, refunds, or be liable for repair. Choosing to accept your order on the day of pickup or delivery confirms you are fully accepting your order in its "as is," unique, rustic condition. GUARANTEE: We will offer a 60 day guarantee for any craftsmanship errors, such as glued joints or glued seams separating. This does not include any stain touch ups do to movement or anything related to wood movement on a piece with breadboards, as our recommendation is full length boards end to end. See below. BREADBOARD DISCLAIMER: In many of our pictures you will see perpendicular boards at the ends of our table tops, as opposed to full length boards running end to end. These are called breadboards. As we have gained experience over the years, we are now recommending full length boards end to end (pictured below) for 3 primary reasons. 1. For trestle table designs, it allows us to give more overhang on the ends for the people/chairs sitting at the ends of the table. With full length boards on a!22

23 trestle table, we typically design them to have about 12 of overhang, as opposed to with a breadboard which only allows around Wood naturally expands and contracts with seasonal temperature and humidity change. Since the wood grain of a breadboard is going the opposite direction of the majority of the table, it will move differently, and is likely to not stay flush with the rest of the table, appearing as if it grew or shrunk while the rest of the table stayed the same. This is not something that we, nor any woodworker can control. With this type of cross grain movement, it is possible that areas around this area will need to be touched up with stain. 3. Unless requested not to be, we currently build all of our tops (on every type of piece) to be seamless and sanded smooth, which looks really good on its own without the breadboards. Note, many pictures were taken before we switched to doing all tops seamless however examples can be seen on the more recent pieces on our social media, as well as below.!23

24 We will make breadboard ends for you if you wish, however we will only do so with the full understanding that they can potentially create issues with their natural movements that we are not able to control, nor will be held responsible for after the time of sale.
