Connections and Structural Framing categories.

2 Load Families &Schedules Load Families & Schedules loads sample framing, connection families and sample schedules to the current project. You can find the families in Project Browser Families under Structural Connections and Structural Framing categories. Sample schedules can be found under Schedules/Quantities in Project Browser. Note: User can modify those schedules and use it as a templates for making shop drawings.

3 Framing Configuration Framing Configuration definition of all framing parameters. It allows to configure and save settings for all sorts of frames: main floor Frames, Flooring, Batten beams. It is very versatile with thousands of different possibilities.

4 Floor Link Floor Link makes a link between floor type from the project and configuration. Choose the floor type you want to link and apply framing configuration for the layers.

5 Frame Floor Frame Floor frames selected floors from the model according to predefined configuration. Frame direction deepens on Span Direction in the Floor Boundary:

6 Update Frame Update Frame updates the frame if there are any changes made to the floor, e.g. floor boundary is extended.

7 Add Battens Add Battens adds batten beams to selected floors.

8 Add Flooring Add Flooring adds flooring to selected floors.

9 Add Additional Bridging/Noggin/Blocking Add Additional Bridging/Nogging/Blocking adds additional bridging/nogging/blocking between selected joists. 1 2 Select two joist predefine the offset from floor base or end

10 Add Additional Joist Add Additional Joists adds additional joist to the floor custom place. Select a joist predefine the offset from the selected joist or floor ends

11 Split Rim Joist Split Rim Joist splits rim joist according to selected joist. Select the joist which will split the rim and then the rim: 1 2

Manage Floors Manage Floors shows information about floors in a convenient dialog. Every floor is displayed in a separate row and is indicated with a color.

On the right side you can see the color legend. The elements selected in the dialog box will be selected and shown in the model as well. Also you can easily filter the floors in the tree on the left.

13 Delete Frame Delete Frame deletes selected framing. You just need to select one frame and the tool will delete the whole floor frame.

14 Align Joists with Selected Joist Align Joists with Selected Joist use if joists have to be aligned after framing a floor. Select a joist and other joists will be aligned to predefined distance.

15 Align Joists with Other Element Align Joists with Other Element aligns joists with trusses, truss system grids or joists from other frames. 2 1 Select other element (for example wall stud) select floor joist

16 Align Joists with Two Other Elements Align Joists with Two Other Elements aligns joists with two selected trusses, truss system grids or joists from other frames Select two Structural Framing elements (for example wall studs) select floor joist

17 Align Opening Cripples with Joists Align Opening Cripples with Joists aligns opening cripples with joists from other frames. Select any cripple all cripples will be aligned with other framing elements.

18 Clear Opening Cripples Alignment with Joists Clear Opening Cripples Alignment with Joists sets alignment of cripples to default.

19 Modify Floor Framing Modify Floor Framing modifies selected floor framing with custom settings if you need to make unique changes. All configuration settings are the same as in Framing Configuration.

20 Modify Edge Joists Modify Edge Joists modifies selected edge joist with custom settings if you need to make unique changes. All configuration settings are the same as in Framing Configuration.

21 Modify Additional Element Modify Additional Element modifies selected additional element with custom settings if you need to make unique changes. All configuration settings are the same as in Framing Configuration.

22 Update Framing by Floor Link Update Framing by Floor Link reframes frame with default settings which is configured under Framing Configuration.

23 Save Configuration of Selected Frame Save Configuration of Selected Frame saves configuration of selected frame. This feature is very useful if you have already framed floor and you lost configuration that was used for this floor. Configuration is needed to frame new floors.
