Casement windows feature contemporary styling with a single sash that provides an unobstructed view when closed, and easily directs fresh air into your home when open. Casement windows use a handle to crank them open and are ideally placed over sinks or countertops and other difficult to reach places. These windows open wide to easily clean the exterior surfaces from inside your home. French casement windows feature two operating sash that open simultaneously from the center outward to create one window opening. Awning windows are another contemporary, single-sash style. They are typically positioned higher on walls to allow more natural light to enter a room while maintaining a good deal of privacy. Awning windows swing open from the bottom using a handle to crank them open, offering improved ventilation. 7 A design that reflects your taste. WINDOW & DOOR STYLES Slider windows are a contemporary style featuring two or more sash, with at least one sash that opens and closes by sliding sideways. Slider windows provide a clean look both inside and outside your home, and are ideal where exterior space is limited, or where egress is required such as in basement bedrooms. Direct-set windows do not open. The glass is glazed directly into the frame to provide the maximum view possible. Available in a wide array of shapes and sizes, direct-set windows can be combined with other window styles in order to create a stunning visual effect. Bay windows are a window combination style featuring three fixed and operating units set at 30 or 45 degree angles. They extend out on a home s exterior while creating an open space on the interior. Bay windows draw more light into a room and can make smaller rooms appear larger. Garden bay windows are traditionally a four-sash combination. Bow windows feature four or more units mulled together at angles to create a curved appearance. Sliding and telescoping sliding patio doors have a contemporary, space-saving style with panels that slide sideways for a clean look and an alternate exit to a balcony, patio or backyard. SPECIALTY GLASS GRILLES SIMULATED DIVIDED LITE - SDL SDL grilles replicate the look of True Divided Lite (TDL) with grille bars that are permanently adhered to the interior and exterior glass surfaces as well as a narrow spacer bar that s positioned in the insulating airspace between the glass panes. SDL bar sizes include 2", 1-3/8" and 7/8" in wood, or 7/8" in vinyl on the interior and exterior. Aluminum-clad windows offer interior and exterior colonial and putty style bars and custom grille patterns. An airspace provides insulating benefits in the face of summer heat and winter cold.
