2 1. Inspection of Delivery Before unpacking the Lat Pulley please inspect the packaging for shipping damage. Please note observable damage prior to signing the bill of lading. Contact RehabPro, Inc or your local dealer with any concerns or questions about shipping damage. 2. Content The RehabPro Lat Pull ships assembled with the exception of the overhang. The crate should include the lat pull frame with weight stack, the overhang, the lat bar & a little box with hardware to attach overhang and finish the lat wire assembly. Note: Install the lat pull before finishing the assembly of the overhang and lat wire. Please see below. 3. Installation Wall mounting a Lat Pull requires the following knowledge: 1. Make sure your mounting wall reaches the ceiling. A wall ending at the false ceiling does not offer enough support to secure a Lat Pull. 2. Identify the type of studs you have in your wall. Do you have wood studs or metal studs? Or, is your wall made of concrete. Different types of studs require different hardware in order to attach your Lat Pull equipment safely. RehabPro wall pulley attachment brackets: RehabPro Lat Pulls have two (2) attachment brackets; the center hole of the lower attachment bracket is 3.5 above the floor; the center hole of the upper attachment bracket is 81 above the floor. Each attachment bracket is 18 wide with two (2) holes for mounting hardware, apart center to center. Below, you will find three attachment suggestions based on the type of wall you plan on attaching your pulley to: 1. Drywall attached to wood studs. Attach two 1 x 4 boards horizontally in space; long enough to span two studs using 3 x 5/16-18 lag bolts. The bolts need to be long enough to go through the board, drywall and into the studs (See picture below). The center of the lower board should be 3.5 off the floor. The center of the upper board should be 81 off the floor. The Lat Pull can be anchored wherever along these boards using 2 x 5/16-18 lag bolts.

3 2. Drywall attached to aluminum studs. Attach two 1x4 boards horizontally in space, long enough to span two studs (4 studs for parallel pulleys), using 3 anchor bolts designed for aluminum studs. (See picture below). The anchor bolts sandwich the boards against the wall. Like attachment option # 1 (above) the center of the lower board is 3.5 above the floor. The center of the upper board is 81 above the floor. The Lat Pull can be attached to these boards by 2 x 5/16-18 lag bolts. Drill your holes large enough for the anchors to pass through

Lat Pull attached directly to a concrete wall: Attach the Lat Pull directly onto the concrete wall by placing correct hardware (concrete anchor bolts) at the two point of attachment for each attachment bracket 3.5 & 81 above the floor. 4. Assembly Overhang: Attach the overhang using the two 3-3/4 bolts and ½ nylon nuts supplied with your shipment. Lat Pull Wire: The lat pull wire is already attached to the top weight increment. 1. Bring the wire up and around the wheel closest to the wall / module (back to front). 2. Bring the wire downward and thread it around the wheel on the adjustment glider on the number pole front to back, under the rope / wire keeper (around the wheel marked as 2 in the drawing on the left). Make sure the glider is placed at its lowest position (down by wheel 4 OR see below). 3. Bring the wire back up and thread it over the two remaining wheels so it sticks out the front of the wheel A, the wheel furthest away from the wall / module.

5 Wire Tightener Assembly: 1. Disassemble the wire tightener by removing the plate and 2x 8mm nuts. Place the lat wire in the tightener as shown in photo # 2 below (as close to the overhang as possible). Make sure the wire adjustment glider is at its lowest position on the number pole when you position the wire tightener). Note: You can move the glider up the number pole after placing the wire in the tightener. This will bring the tightener down to floor level which is more convenient for completing assembly. 1. Apply the tear drop ring just below the tightener and bring the lat wire around it as shown in photo # 3 above. Wind the wire around the two bolts like a figure 8. This will ensure the wire stays secure after the nuts are tightened. 2. Put the cover plate in place over the two bolts and secure the nuts (8mm) on the two bolts as shown in picture #4. Note: Tighten the nuts on the bolts as hard as you can to ensure a secure fit. The plate on top of the wire should bend in the middle when the nuts are tightened all the way down. 3. Place supplied shrink tubing over the wire tightener assembly and shrink it by using a heat gun or a hair dryer. A finished assembly should resemble photo # 5 below.

6 5. Utilization 1. Adjusting the weight RehabPro Lat pulls are 1:1 weight-to-resistance ratio, pin select pulleys with weight stacks measured in pounds. 7 6. Maintenance Check the condition of the Lat Pull daily prior to use: 1. Pay attention to any loose nuts or bolts. They may come loose with use over time. 2. Pay attention to the wire. On the average, Lat Pull wires last 2-3 years with normal use. Make sure the wire glides smoothly on the pulley wheels. AND, look for cuts in the rubber coating. Change the wire when the rubber coating is thin or non-existent. You can contact RehabPro, Inc. directly or your local dealer for a wire replacement kit. 3. Wipe off the guide rods with a clean rag weekly. After the wipe down spray silicone lubricant on a rag and wipe down the rods with the lubricant. You may want to do this with the adjustment bar (number pole) also for smoother glide of the wire adjustment assemblies. 7.
