This model was highly regarded at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 1961 for its low-set, streamlined appearance and state-of-the-art mechanics.

Various minor changes up until 1971 resulted in the twin-six engine of the Series 3. This model, known in the US as the XK-E, enjoyed high levels of popularity.

This Papercraft JAGUAR E-type is about one thirteen the size of the real car. *This model was designed for Papercraft and may differ from the original in some respects.

Series 1, which first went on the market in 1961, sported an inline six-cylinder, 3.8 liter DOHC engine. In 1964, this was upgraded to a 4.2 liter. Various minor changes up until 1971 resulted in the twin-six engine of the Series 3. This model, known in the US as the XK-E, enjoyed high levels of popularity. Although the E-type disappeared from the market in 1975, its curved lines continued to influence designers, and it remained well-loved by car enthusiasts around the world. M.Kajiwara If using overhead projector film for the windscreen 4-P 5-A 4-Q Overhead projector film template Using a marker pen, trace around the template you have cut out, and cut along the line with scissors. 6-J Make a mountain fold, and glue it together The base OHP Overhead projector film template 5-A OHP 4-P 6-E 4-Q 6-C Make a mountain fold, and glue it together 6-D / 6-F are assembled in the same way. 6-I 2-D 6-F There will be a small gap along this line. 4-S Under Make a mountain fold, and glue it together. 5-N 4-L 6-C Attach this part to 4-L. Take 4-L through the slot in 6-D / 6-C and glue it to the outside. Do not apply glue to this part of 2-I. Align 6-I / 6-J with the apex of the triangle depicted here on 6-E / 6-F, and glue perpendicular to the base. 6-D The base 6-D 6-F Make a mountain fold, and glue it together. 2-E 6-D Bend into shape. 5-M Cut in line. 5-N 4-M 3-C 6-C 6-D 6-F 4-S Parts 5-M / 5-N should be attached 5mm below the tip of 4-S. 2-E

M.Kajiwara How to assemble the seats 6-A/6-B 5-F/5-G 5-F/5-G Beginning from either the left or right side, proceed to attach 6-K/6-L to 6-A/6-B. 6-A/6-B 5-D/5-E 5-K/5-L 5-K/5-L 5-D/5-E *Glue along the curved line, beginning at the center front and progressing backwards. 5-K/5-L Line up 5-D / 5-E with the curved shape of 5-K/5-L, and glue them together. 5-I/5-J 6-A/6-B 6-K/6-L 3-D 7-D 7-D/7-E can be used on the right or the left. Attach them to 7-H so that the part you have cut out faces outwards. 3-G 3-E 7-E 7-H Insert 7-H through 3-D. Attach to the body 8-G this area on the left and right. 3-D does not need to be glued. Gluing 7-D/7-E will keep it in place. 3-D 8-E After attaching 8-G/8-H, attach 8-E to the specified part on the body. Attach to the body 8-H 7-D 7-E 7-H

Stick the 7-L glue tabs along the edges of 7-F / 7-G. *Attach the glue tabs so that they overlap each other. Cut away any protruding glue tabs. 7-F/7-G The reverse side 8-L/8-K will protrude as shown in the circled area. This we be attached to 8-F in a later step. 7-L/7-K 7-F/7-G 7-LGlue spot 7-F/7-G Align 8-L / 8-K very carefully with the area circled, and attach. 8-F 7-LGlue spot 7-F/7-G Glue the upper and lower glue tabs of 8-F to the center panel. Attach 8-F to the glue tabs on 3-C. 8-F 7-A Attach 8-F to the glue tabs on 3-C/7-A. The area along the blue line does not need to be glued down. 7-A's purpose is to make the rear body stronger. It is best if 8-F is slightly separated from 7-A.

Attach the 7-F / 7-G you assembled in Seat-6 of Assembly Instructions to the body. Attach 7-F/7-G, keeping the third panel(count from the inside) of 7-F/7-G in linewith the bonnet. Align 8-L/8-K with the curve of 8-F, and glue it from underneath. Attach 8-P. To attach 7-F / 7-G to 8F, put glue on the back of the part of 7-F / 7-G that overlaps onto 8-F. Tightly wrap 7-F / 7-G around 8-F. Adjust the position of 8-F so that its curved lines are 2.5mm from the trunk lines on either side, and glue to 8-F. 8-L / 8-K should be attached to the bumper on 8-F, keeping in line with the outside edges of the glue tab guidelines. 8-A/8-B 6-G/6-H The trunk lines 8-A 8-B 7-I Insert the glue tabs inside the mountain-folded paper and attach. Attach to the glue tab used for 7-I. 8-F 8-C/8-D 7-I 7-I should be attached so that the upper and lower parts are in line with the center panel of 8-F. Attach 8-A / 8-B to 6-G / 6-H / 8-F.

Take care not to bend it after attaching. 14-F 14-E 13-A 14-C 13-A Cut away any protruding pieces. 7-L/13-I Glue tab Carefully align with the slot on 13-A and glue down. 13-B 13-C 14-X/Z 14-D Bend the parts of 14-X / Z into shape before attaching them. the reverse side Attach 13-B / 13-C to the glue tabs on thereverse side of 7-L / 13-I, in the same way as in step 1 of the Assembly Instructions 6. Attach 13-B / 13-C glue tabs along the edges. *Attach the glue tabs so that they overlap each other. 13-F 13-E After gluing the four parts together, leave them to dry for at least one hour. After attaching to 13-E, cut away the area labeled "cut out". 13-D 13-E 14-X 13-D 14-Z Cut away any protruding pieces. 14-H Mountain fold glue tabs.

M.Kajiwara 14-B 13-D 14-Y Attachment of 13-D should begin from the joint between If 14-D / C covers 13-B and 14-D. the triangular parts to be cut out of 14-B, cut the overlap away in line with the triangle, after gluing. 14-D 13-B 13-D Glue to of the area indicated with blue lines. First, glue only the area of 13-F indicated by the blue line. 14-Y 13-C 14-C 13-A 13-F Push out the unglued parts of 13-F from underneath, align them with the curve on 13-C and 13-B and attach. If the area indicated by blue lines on 13-C / 13-B protrudes further than 13-F, cut off the excess keeping in line with the curve. 13-B Align the center lines printed on each part when attaching. Attach with the glued join facing downwards. Insert the light to the point shown. Attach the light here. Once you have attached 13-F, cut out the lights, leaving the glue tabs in place. 14-I/14-J Before attaching 14-I/14-J, insert them into the body and confirm the position they should be attached. Once you have decided where, use the glue tabs to attach them. 14-K/14-L 14-J(Right) Confirm the position before attaching.
