3 5. Place Platform, Die, & Mat B sandwich on Evolution Advanced and roll through the machine. * Please be aware when rolling through to not force through the machine. The platform sandwich should go through without too much applied tension. If it feels like the handle is having difficulty cranking, please stop immediately crank the handle backwards to remove the platform and die. Once removed re adjust your knob to a lower setting and attempt again. 6. Remove Platform, Die, & Mat B from the tool. Evolution Advanced & How to Die Cut Using the Evolution Advanced 1. Place die (cut side up) on gray Cutting and Embossing Platform. 2. Place paper or other media over top of the die. 3. Place Self Healing Mat B on the paper so it aligns with the Platform. 4. Set knob (located on let of machine on opposite side of handle) to appropriate setting. If using We R Memory Keepers dies, please refer the left side of the knob pictured below. Depending on the thickness of your paper, move the knob to the appropriate setting. Typically, the setting will be the second or third in thickness, where the arrow is indicating below. If you are using a thicker media or cardstock we would recommend setting it to the thickest setting above the arrow. If using a competitor s brand of die, please refer to recommend dial setting with the separate Dial Chart Guide provided.

4 7. Remove the paper and pop out the die cut paper or media.

5 How to Emboss With Embossing Folder Using Evolution Advanced 1. Place desired paper inside of Embossing Folder. 2. Place Embossing Folder on gray Cutting & Embossing Platform. 3. Place Self Healing Mat B over the top of the Embossing Folder and align with Platform below. 4. Set knob to appropriate Emboss setting depending on the thickness of the paper and adjust if necessary. If using We R Memory Keepers dies, please refer to the left side of the knob pictured below. Typically, the setting will be the second or third in thickness, where the arrow is indicating below. If using a competitor s brand of embossing folder, please refer to recommend dial setting with the separate Dial Chart Guide provided. 5. 7 How to Letterpress Using the Evolution Advanced and Letterpress Platform 1. Choose desired Letterpress Printing Plate for project. 2. Place Adhesive on back of Printing Plate (with raised section being the front). * When placing adhesive, there is no need to cover the entire back side of the printing plate. You will just need enough to hold the printing plate in place during letterpressing and putting it through the Evolution Advanced tool. 3. Open Letterpress Platform and place Adhesive Backed Printing Plate on clear lid. 4. Place Letterpress Paper on the base of the Letterpress Platform and align the Printing Plate using the clear lid and grid system. 5. Use Paper Placement Guides to ensure the paper does not move once aligned. 6. Place Ink Guide Strips next to Printing Plate to ensure Ink does not get on additional plates or the Platform lid. 7. Choose desired ink color and ink the Brayer Base. * We recommend not over saturating the Brayer Base. Typically, you will not need more than a dime size of ink to produce enough color. 8. Roll Ink Brayer over base ensuring ink covers the brayer. 9. Roll Ink Brayer over Printing Plate to completely cover with color. 10. Close the Platform lid. 11. Set Evolution Advanced knob to appropriate paper thickness on the Letterpress setting. Example of regular Letterpress Paper shown below.
