Whether it s something from the past or present, there s always something for everyone at the library! Susan's pick is author Stephanie Laurens. Stephanie s books are easy to read and her stories are about women who are ahead of their time. Susan is currently re-reading two of her series. Martha's pick is an inspirational fiction series called Love Inspired. These books are written by different authors; however, Martha finds them entertaining, stress-free, and just a good story. Julie recommends Whiskey in a Teacup by Reese Witherspoon. This book takes you on a journey of how Reese became the woman she is today, and what it was like growing up in the south. Reese also shares some of her recipes. Sabrina s pick is the Mercy Thompson series Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. I ve read it probably times since I first picked it up in high school, she states. With werewolves, shapeshifters, fae, and vampires, it s got all the fantasy you could want and an interesting take on how these people would be handled by our modern society and government. Willie's pick is Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcake by James and Kimberly Dean. I read this book to my nephew who loves cupcakes, she states. I like this book because we got to work on counting skills by counting the cupcakes. Andrea s pick is The Fox Hunt by Mohammed Al Samawi. This book tells the true story of a young peace activist forced to flee Yemen s brutal civil war. It s a story of peace, friendship and hope. My recommendation is The Hound of Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle. I personally prefer the audio version narrated by Patrick Tull. Even though I have read this thrilling tale of suspense throughout my life, I have found the audio version still makes the hairs on my arms stick up when detective Holms and Watson investigate the murderous attack at Baskerville Hall.
