This summer go on a journey around the world through huge LEGO sculptures then pick up some bricks and start building! 6 GALLIPOLI: THE SCALE OF OUR WAR. WITH OVER 1 MILLION VISITORS AND COUNTING HAVE YOU SEEN GALLIPOLI YET? This is our most popular exhibition, but it won t last forever. With models created with Weta Workshop on a monumental scale (they re big, really really big), you ll see the story of Gallipoli through the eyes and words of ordinary New Zealanders who found themselves in extraordinary circumstances. 7 CHRISTMAS LIGHTS EXTRAVAGANZA AT BUSH CITY. Join us for stunning lights in Bush City, a sleeping Santa and an interactive elves workshop surrounded with enchanted lights and kiwiana Christmas trees. Opens 6 Dec.

8 KO RONGOWHAKAATA: THE STORY OF LIGHT AND SHADOW. Get to know this small, and creative iwi from the East Coast of the North Island. Explore the land, people, and stories of Rongowhakaata, an iwi whose unique art reflects their innate creativity, rich history, and innovative spirit.

9 RĀ MAUMAHARA NEW ZEALAND WARS. Explore the most explosive and sustained period of conflict in the New Zealand Wars: In the 1860s and early 70s, Māori and colonial forces clashed in a series of brutal conflicts across the central North Island. As numbers of British settlers soared. Māori staunchly defended their lands and authority, but thousands were killed.
