FSS can be used as a file, efleco, polaize, absobe, ec. Hee we designed FSS which is acs as a Band Sop file, which opeae a 10GHz esonan fequency. This ype of file can be used fo saellie applicaions, ada and biomedical. Fo he analysis of band sop file ansmission and eflecion coefficien can be obained wih he help of Ansof Designe ool. INTRODUCTION Peiodic sucues is an assembly of elemen which ae idenical ae aanged in su ch a manne ha i ceae one dimensional o wo dimensional aay. Peiodic aay can be excied by he wo mehods, (1) By an inciden plane wave, (2) individual geneao conneced o each elemen. FSS has a popey ha i eflecs plane wave in phas e and suppess he suface wave. FSS have been used in adio fequency egion of M specum, can be used as a efleco, polaize, absobe, file, ec. Hee we ae used FSS as a file. The advanage of using double dipole FSS is ha educe he size of anenna, by eplacing file and applicaion as divese he afoemenioned micowave oven, anenna and moden mea maeials. A file is a device ha passes elecic signals a ceain fequencies o fequency anges while pevening he passage of ohes. File cicuis ae used in a wide vaiey of applicaions. In he field of elecommunicaion, bandpass files ae used in he audio fequency ange (0 khz o 20 khz) fo modems and speech pocessing. In ou wok, peiodic sucue is used as band sop file. Hee he oldes elemen Jeusalem coss sucue is sandwich beween he wo dielecic. All he simulaion have been pefom using Ansof Designe ool Theoy of Peiodic Sucue Peiodic sucue ae easy o undesand difficul o design, because if we simply change he fequency fo diffeen applicaion. We have o deal wih he vaiaion of angle of incidence and polaizaion. Angle of incidence of he peiodic sucue is invesely popoional o he bandwidh. When he fequency changes, ansmission and eflecion cuve will also changes. All he cuves ae shown a 45 angle of incidence fo ohogonal and paallel polaizaion, which esonan fequency aound 10GHz =2.2 dielecic slab placed on boh side. Dielecic maeial of file d1 laye and d 2 laye is used. As we know he analysis of FSS is based on Tansmission coefficien ( S ) and Reflecion coefficien ( S ). A he esonan fequency he value of ansmission coefficien is made lage in negaive and he value of eflecion

In band sop file absopion is 90% and he ansmission is 10% a he esonan fequency. 2.1 Simulaion On he basis of mahemaical calculaions and fom he heoy of FSS model we ceae a double I secion among many of designs of FSS i.e. Jeusalem coss. Hee he lengh and widh of he double I secions can be calculaed as by he given fomulae: Lengh of dipole is given by L, 2 4 c Whee, and c is speed of ligh, and f is opeaing fequency. f Hee we can easily analyze he band sop chaaceisics of band sop file as he dip occus almos equal o he cene fequency, whee he ansmission and eflecion coefficien value can be calculaed. Fo he band sop file he eflecion coefficien is nealy zeo which shows he pefec aenuaion is obained and he ansmission coefficien which shows ha a his poin ansmission is minimum. The obained eflecion coefficien in his simulaion is a esonan fequency of 10GHz and he ansmission coefficien is given as which shows he pefec impedance maching a ha poin. The esonan fequency is 10GHz and we know bandwidh = fh fl, i means 6GHz opeaing bandwidh. 4. CONCLUSIONS In his pape, we descibe he designing pocedue of FSS using Jeusalem coss sucue, ha can be used as a Band Sop file a 10GHz esonan fequency. This is used fo X-Band applicaions like biomedical and saellie applicaion. The analysis of ansmission and eflecion coefficien is made by Ansof Designe. This ype of file can be used o impove ceain paamee of anenna like anenna Gain, VSWR, Reun loss and fficiency. If we change he angle of incidence he bandwidh of file will change. FSS can be used as subsae o supesae o impove he esul of anenna can design of file be miniauized. 5.
