Na6onal Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP) 1 m imagery acquired during the agricultural growing season Since 2003, imagery acquired on a 5 year cycle (small projects also contracted annually) Beginning in 2009, imagery will be acquired on a 3 year cycle The default spectral resolu6on is natural color (Red, Green and Blue, or RGB) but beginning in 2007, some states have been delivered with four bands of data: RGB and Near Infrared NAIP imagery is available for free download through the USDA Geospa6al Data Gateway, h\p://datagateway.nrcs.usda.gov/. 2 The Landsat Program Historical 35 year archive The first Landsat was launched in 1972 (Landsat 1 MSS) The most recent satellites were launched in 1985 (Landsat 5 TM) and 1999 (Landsat 7 ETM+). 6 DESDynI Ecosystem measurements allow: es6ma6on of forest height with meters accuracy es6ma6on of threedimensional forest structure direct measurements of live above ground woody biomass (carbon stock) and structural a\ributes such as volume and basal area. More info here: h\p://desdyni.jpl.nasa.gov/files/desdyni%20overview_final.pdf SNAMP Data Sharing From: SNAMP UCST Data Sharing Agreement DRAFT November 29, 2007 Available at: snamp.cnr.berkeley.edu/ documents The UCST will make efforts to make spa6al and non spa6al data public whenever possible and/or appropriate. There are compelling reasons why a scien6st might not want to distribute data. For example, a scien6st might not want to share data if: 1. The disclosure of the loca6on of people or rare and endangered species might put them at risk; 2. The data might not be complete; 3. There are publica6ons in progress that might be at risk from early data distribu6on; 4. The data might have proprietary restric6ons origina6ng outside of the UCST. 6
