1 Technical Newsletter ( ) It is extremely important to us for all sales partners to be at the same high standard that is required of in accordance with the ISO9001 quality standard. For this reason it is our goal to keep you up to date at all times. Much has happened since the publication of the last documentation. We have successfully overcome the challenges of moving to the new building, as well as the new presence with a new CI (Corporate Identity). Last year, many new developments were also completed: 1 (uninsulated system) 2 with sliding seals 3 Gun (bullet-proofing) Arc (arched systems) Slope (sloping systems) Sun (shading system) 2 with hurricane certification (USA) (low base height) 3-point lock (especially for France) In order to integrate the new, uninsulated 1 into the documentation, we decided to remove the previous chapter 3 and replace it with 1. The profile and glass statics tables can now be found in the chapters for the respective technologies. The following new terms have been introduced: System (shape: straight, round, or sloping) Technology ( 1-3 technology) Features (expansion possibilities) Since so many relevant changes and innovations are involved, we ask you to read the documentation in its entirety. From now on, only the new documentation (or newer) is valid. 2 Technical Newsletter ( ) 1 1 The new, uninsulated «1» technology, with 6-12 mm thick single insulating glass has been developed for projects without thermal insulation requirements. At the same time, the technology provides outstanding protection from noise emissions thanks to special sliding seals. The same design and installation depth makes all of the opening options and profiles and almost all of the 2 characteristics and features possible: Classifications: (unchecked) Resistance to heavy rain (up to) 6A (9A) Air permeability (up to) 3 (4) Wind resistance C3 Sound insulation (Rw,P) up to 37(-1;-2) db, with LSG 12-2P Features: - Fly - Sun - Automation - Guard Position monitoring (P) Deadbolt monitoring (R) Only the glass breakage monitor (G) is not possible with single insulating glass. Bigger glass formats of up to 3.15 x 4 m (max. 8 m 2 ) are possible with single insulating glass. 3 Technical Newsletter ( ) Type 1: was developed for Mediterranean projects (noncondensing climate with outside temperature T min > 5 C) which do not require an insulated floor structure, and makes it possible to have a minimal floor structure height. Two possible installation variants are described in the installation instructions: - Type 1 = niche mounting - Type 2 = surface mounting, with mounting brackets customer provided Type 2: The weight of the glass is directly transmitted to the solid core panels beneath the slimline base. The height of the panels, which are pre-mounted to the base profile at intervals of approx. 0.3 metres, can be easily height adjusted (H= 75 mm +/- 5 mm). Once the fine adjustments have been made, the panels are secured with mortar on-site. is available for: - 1 (2 and 3-track systems) - 2 (2, 3 and 4-track systems) NOTE: The slimline base of 2 is not sealed underneath! The design of the polyamide insulation flange has been adapted in such a way that the same the sliding seal as the one used in 3 can be pulled in. This provides much higher sound insulation values (28->34 db), whilst maintaining consistently good running characteristics. All 2 glazing is now also tested and certified. For example, a change from 2 to 4 track systems will still be implemented with the old 2 and 4 track profiles (with brushes) until the day of the changeover.
