The book contains lots of information and images of club activities and members. There is a wonderful collection of many members' images, some are even National & International prize winners. There are interesting profiles on various long serving members, written by themselves, which make great reading. 2 Page 2 Members News We recently spent six weeks in the UK and Europe. I photographed my sister's wedding in London but there were more interesting subjects on the continent. Richard Aspland Paragliding in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland. The Shard, Europe's tallest building, towers over Southwark Cathedral, London. The Swiss Alps, taken at Schilthorn (2970m), the location for the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. From here, there's a 360 degree view that takes in the iconic mountains - the Eiger, Monsch and Jungfrau.

4 Page 4 End of Year BBQ Remember.. the AV Comp 17 October 2016 There is still time create your Audio Visual! There will be two Audio Visual categories but they will come under one competition and be judged against each other. The categories are: AV 321 The AV will have a running time of exactly 3 minutes 21 seconds. Open The AV will have a maximum running time of 5 minutes but can be of any duration up to that time limit. The AV should not have the maker s name on the final credit slide. The IPS End of Year BBQ will be held on Sunday 11 December Would you like to host this year s bash? It s a totally BYO affair.all you are asked to supply is the BBQ. Members can even bring their own chairs. The club supplies the ice to keep drinks nice and cold. Please speak with a committee member or Only entries in the IPS comp will be considered for the VAPSCON AV competition. CLOSE UP PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB NIGHT This coming Monday we will have a practical night close up photography. Bring your gear camera, and tripod if you have one. Don t worry if you don t have a macro lens.we ll make do. Prac nights are always fun, so come along!
