A nature image must comply with the FIAP Nature Photography definition as adopted from 1st January A copy is available on the A.P.S. website. A panoramic image is a photograph that has a wide format. The ratio between height and length of the photo is at least 1:2. This means that the height is half the size of the length. The ratio can also be the most common 1:3 or can be even longer. A panorama can be horizontal or vertical. It can be a stitched image done in software or a single image that has been cropped to a panoramic ratio. A photographic triptych is divided into three sections. The photographs are usually arranged with a border between them. The work may consist of separate images that are variants of a theme or maybe a larger image split into three. ABOUT PORT MACQUARIE PANTHERS PHOTOGRAPHIC CLUB Port Macquarie Panthers Photographic Club is affiliated with the Federation of Camera Clubs NSW. Meetings are held on the 2 nd and 4 th Tuesdays of the month at Port Macquarie Panthers Club, starting at 7:00pm. There are four competitions throughout the year that are judged by external judges. There are eight image evaluation evenings. Practical discussions, demonstrations and workshops occur at regular intervals. The colour purple must be the dominant colour of the image. Be practical for presentation on the Club s website. It is intended that monthly Digital Image Competition entries will be displayed on the website for the convenience of remote judges and for members to review after judging. Prints for a monthly competition round are due on Image presentation night. Uploaded Digital Image entries are due by 7pm the day after (Wednesday). Use characters A-Z and 0-9 Image sequences: If you submit Digital Review images that need to be displayed in sequence (example: A before and an after image) you need to name them so they appear alphabetically in the desired sequence! See the Club website for instructions. Naming conventions for digital image files Please name your digital image files according to the naming convention.
