As a reminder, an entry into the Assigned category must have been taken in the last twelve months. If you know of a particular event that would be of interest to others in the club, please so that it can be included in the newsletter. A very special thank you to Mike Simmons for a wonderful program/workshop on Nightscapes/Astrophotography in March. It was enjoyed by all who attended. 3 Spring in Texas and that means wildflowers and especially bluebonnets. While this is an average year they are out there and quit pretty in many areas. The usual spots in the Chapel Hill- Brenham- Industry area were beginning in earnest and by now should be going strong. When you are thinking of taking your kids and pets to be photographed in the flowers, please, keep a few cautions in mind. There are hazards in those lovely blossoms. 1.Think prickly weeds, grass burrs, fire ants, spiders, bees and snakes. An encounter with any of these will not provoke the smiles you desire. 2.Try not to crush the flowers, leave some for the next photographers. 3..Keep the area pristine. Don t leave your trash and plastic water bottles behind 4.Enjoy Texas natural beauty Inter Club News The Feb. GSCCC Nature Projected competition was judged by the Oklahoma Camera Club.
