3 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION In collaboration with Pan Pacific Singapore, a series of 3 art exhibitions featuring artworks by VSA s artists with disabilities, will be showcased at the hotel s public art space from February to July A total of 9 artists (grouped according to themes) will be participating in these exhibitions to present and sell their art pieces to the public. SINGAPORE THEN AND NOW The theme of this exhibition is set as "Singapore Then and Now" to resonate with the local audience as well as to attract the curious travellers. Academically trained in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Chang Kim Ngoh enjoys painting scenes that depict the olden days of Singapore, whereas Raymond Lau is well-recognised for his vibrant paintings of Singapore cityscapes, and Isabel Lim loves capturing the street scene of Singapore through photography. With a mix of traditional (oil paintings) and modern (photography) mediums, the chosen theme is best presented through the eyes of these 3 local artists who are from different generations.

Raymond was honoured with the UOB Painting of the Year award in 1993 and the National Arts Council Young Artist Award in 2001. His works can be found in the collections of President S.R. Nathan, Ambassador-at-Large Professor Tommy Koh, Professor Arthur Lim, Mr Tan Swie Hian, Ms Chng Seok Tin, Singapore Management University, United Overseas Bank and the National Arts Council.

4 RAYMOND LAU POO SENG Year of Birth: 1968 Disability: Tourette Syndrome Raymond belongs to a new and emerging generation of Singaporean artists at the forefront of Singapore s evolution into a Renaissance city. A vocal and colourful individual, Raymond excels in both realist and abstract renditions in oil and acrylic. For Raymond, painting is therapeutic as it helps him find peace and fullness. It is not surprising therefore that his body of work reveals a gentler, softer side of an outwardly bold and brassy individual. Raymond received a BA in Fine Art from the University of Tasmania. Raymond was honoured with the UOB Painting of the Year award in 1993 and the National Arts Council Young Artist Award in His works can be found in the collections of President S.R. CHANG KIM NGOH Year of Birth: 1946 Disability: Polio Kim Ngoh graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in 1970, specialising in watercolour painting.

Since her return to Singapore, Kim Ngoh has been working full-time as a professional artist. Her home is also her studio where she paints vivid scenes from the past.

7 CHANG KIM NGOH Year of Birth: 1946 Disability: Polio Kim Ngoh graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in 1970, specialising in watercolour painting. She obtained her second Diploma in oil painting in 1980 from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, Canada. Since her return to Singapore, Kim Ngoh has been working full-time as a professional artist. Her home is also her studio where she paints vivid scenes from the past. Her favourite subjects are the old Malay kampungs depicting the carefree and simple life common during the Singapore s colonial days. In 1998, Kim Ngoh bagged the Phillip Morris ASEAN Art Distinction Award and in 2000, she received the Very Special Arts Gold Award. Kim Ngoh has also worked on corporate commissions for The American Club and The Plaza Fitness and Spa. 10 ISABELLE LIM YI QING Year of Birth: 1993 Disability: Nager Syndrome Isabelle Lim, age 24 is an aspiring photographer who has Nager Syndrome, a rare condition. Born with profound deafness, she uses sign language to communicate. She graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts (Art Photography) from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2016 with the support of the Dare to Dream scholarship and held her first solo exhibition 'See What I See' at the Enabling Village the same year. In 2017, she held her second exhibition cum fund-raiser for the Today Enable Fund at SPRMRKT, featuring 'Living with Grace' a photo essay collaborated with her cousin Tham Yin May.
