Continue to piece blocks together until complete. Measure through the center to determine border length, adding to the sides then top and bottom. 11 one handout per BOM participant, cut each of the s*print hoptip Block pages in half at 5 1/2. *Consider demostrating how each block goes together. *You may want to pass out all the background fabric at the beginning of the project, and have shopper cut pieces each month. *Set a day & time for your BOM each month and invite participants to share their blocks. *Offer specials on that day, ie. Add-a-quarter ruler for paper piecing, small rulers with 1/8 marks for crosscutting small pieces, favorite pins, new rotary cutter, or foundation papers. *Kit the project with your favorite type of fabrics, or help participants shop each month. *Look for creative ways to display a few blocks and encourage sign ups! A clothsline on a wall, or on a magnetic board near the cash register. *Keep the final layout of the project a secret or make a sample to entice your shoppers. *Encourage participants to make the full project of their favorite block sewn, after the BOM has been completed. At the very least, participants will need 5 1/2 yards of prints, and 4 yards of background fabrics. I would encourage you to kit from bolts that aren t selling and work well in small pieces. I am suggesting fat quarters for a many of the months, but smaller pieces may work too. Consider how much time you want to work on the kit before you start selecting fabrics. S
