FABRIC REQUIREMENTS 1 Road Trip Fat Quarter Bundle (FQ ) 13/4 yards (1.65 m) cream blossoms (C5621 Cream) ¼ yard (25 cm) blue flowers (C5624 Blue) ¼ yard (25 cm) red flowers (C5624 Red) 3¼ yards (3 m) putty solid (C120 Putty) 1/8 yard (15 cm) Riley brown solid (C120 Riley Brown) 1/8 yard (15 cm) scuba solid (C120 Scuba) 5/8 yard (60 cm) treetop solid (C120 Treetop) 1/8 yard (15 cm) lemon shade (C Lemon) Binding ¾ yard (70 cm) CUTTING REQUIREMENTS Please read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting sashing and border pieces. Fat Quarter Bundle Cut squares 4½" x 4½" in the corresponding number from each of the following assorted prints: 6 blue main, 7 green main, 6 blue blossoms, 6 red blossoms, 6 blue trailers, 7 green trailers, 6 red trailers, 6 blue tablecloth, 7 green tablecloth, 6 red tablecloth, 7 green stripe, 6 red stripe Cut 36 squares 3" x 3" from blue flowers. Cut 36 squares 3" x 3" from red flowers. Using the template provided, cut 1 trailer from blue blossoms. Reverse or add ¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of applique. Using the template provided, cut 1 awning scallop from green stripe. Add ¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of applique. Cut 1 tire center from cream flowers. Cut the strip into 12 squares 3" x 3". Cut 2 strips 2½" x WOF. Cut the strip into 18 squares 2½" x 2½". Red Flowers Cut 1 strip 3" x WOF. Cut the strip into 12 squares 3" x 3". Cut 1 strips 2½" x WOF. Cut the strip into 6 squares 2½" x 2½". Putty Solid Cut 8 strips 2½" x WOF for Border 1. Cut 5 strips 2½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 76 squares 2½" x 2½". Cut 13 strips 2½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 76 rectangles 2½" x 6½". Cut 12 strips 3" x WOF. Cut the strips into 152 squares 3" x 3". Cut 2 strips 14½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 31 rectangles 2½" x 14 ½" for sashing. Cut 1 square 14½" x 14½". Riley Brown Solid Using the templates provided, cut 1 tire and 1 post. Reverse or add ¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of applique. Scuba Solid Using the templates provided, cut 1 door and 1 hitch. Reverse or add ¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of applique. Treetop Solid Cut 4 strips 3" x WOF. Cut the strips into 56 squares 3" x 3". Cut 1 strip 2½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 7 squares 2½" x 2½". Using the template provided, cut 1 awning. Reverse or add ¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of applique. Lemon Shade Using the template provided, cut 1 window. Reverse or add ¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of applique.

QUILT ASSEMBLY Refer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics and blocks. Trailer Block Use your favorite method of applique to attach the trailer pieces to the putty shade 14½" square.

Make 1 Trailer Block. Red Bear Paw Block Refer to the quilt photo for piece placement. Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the red flowers 3" squares. Place a red flowers 3" square on top of a putty solid 3" square. Sew ¼" on each side of the drawn line. Cut on the lines to make 2 Half Square Triangles. Press. Repeat to make 96 Half Square Triangles. Square up the Half Square Triangles to 2½". Sew 2 half square triangles together to create 24 Unit As. Half Square Triangle Unit A Sew a putty solid 2½" square and 2 half square triangles together to create Unit B. Repeat to make 24 Unit Bs. Referring to the unit diagram for piece placement sew a Unit A, Unit B, and a red blossoms 4½" square together to create a Red Blossoms Unit. Repeat to make 6 Red Blossoms Units. Red Blossoms Unit a Unit A, Unit B, and a red trailers 4½" square together to create a Red Trailers Unit. Repeat to make 6 Red Trailers Units. Red Trailers Unit Referring to the block diagram for piece placement, sew 4 putty solid 2½" x 6½" rectangles, 1 red flowers 2½" square, and the 4 Red Units together to create the Red Bear Paw Block. Repeat to make 6 Red Bear Paw Blocks. Unit B a Unit A, Unit B, and a red stripe 4½" square together to create a Red Stripe Unit. Repeat to make 6 Red Stripe Units. Red Stripe Unit a Unit A, Unit B, and a red tablecloth 4½" square together to create a Red Tablecloth Unit. Repeat to make 6 Red Tablecloth Units. Blue Trailers Unit a Unit A, Unit B, and a blue main 4½" square together to create a Blue Main Unit. Repeat to make 6 Blue Main Units. Blue Bear Paw Block Green Bear Paw Block Refer to the quilt photo for piece placement. Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the treetop solid 3" squares. Place a treetop solid 3" square on top of a putty solid 3" square. Sew ¼" on each side of the drawn line. Cut on the lines to make 2 Half Square Triangles. Press. Repeat to make 112 Half Square Triangles. Square up the Half Square Triangles to 2½". Sew 2 half square triangles together to create 28 Unit As. Half Square Triangle Unit A Blue Main Unit a Unit A, Unit D, and a blue blossoms 4½" square together to create a Blue Tablecloth Unit. Repeat to make 6 Blue Tablecloth Units. Blue Tablecloth Unit a Unit A, Unit D, and a blue tablecloth 4½" square together to create a Blue Blossoms Unit. Repeat to make 6 Blue Blossom Units. Blue Blossoms Unit Referring to the block diagram for piece placement, sew 4 putty solid 2½" x 6½" rectangles, 1 blue flowers 2½" square, and the 4 Blue Units together to create the Blue Bear Paw Block. Repeat to make 7 Green Bear Paw Blocks. Quilt Center Assembly Refer to quilt photo for row placement. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt. Borders Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first. Border 1 Side borders should be 78½". Top and bottom borders should be 66½". Border 2 Side borders should be 82½". Top and bottom borders should be 78½". Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Road Trip Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt. Green Bear Paw Block Block and Sashing Refer to quilt photo for Bear Paw Block, Trailer Block and sashing placement. Sew a block to a putty solid 2½" x 14½" rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 4 blocks and 3 sashing rectangles. Make 5 block and sashing rows. Sashing and Posts Refer to quilt photo for sashing and post placement. Sew a putty solid 2½" x 14½" rectangle to a blue flowers 2½" square. Repeat to make a row with 4 sashing rectangles and 3 posts. Make 4 sashing and post rows. 4
