2 Quilt Size: 66" x 66" Finished Block Size: 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" Number of Blocks: 12 Yardages and Cutting Note: WOF is width of fabric from selvage to selvage. 2 yards Block Party Squares, squares 9" x 9" with a flower square centered 3/8 yard Tan Flower Patch, strip 9" x WOF; cut into (4) 9" squares 1/2 yard Light Green Print, strips 5 1/8" x WOF; cut into (12) 5 1/8" squares, then cut in half diagonally to make 24 triangles 1 yard Lavender Swirl, strip 5 1/8" x WOF; cut into (4) 5 1/8" squares, then cut in half diagonally to make 8 triangles 7 strips 3 1/2" x WOF for outer border 1/3 yard Yellow Swirl, strips 2 5/8" x WOF for strip sets 1/4 yard Dark Pink Swirl, strip 2" x WOF; cut into (9) 2" squares 7/8 yard Dark Green Speckle, strips 2" x WOF; cut into (24) 2" x 9" sashing strips 4 strips 2 1/2" x WOF for inner border 1/8 yard Burgundy Speckle, /8 yards Purple Speckle, strips 5 1/8" x WOF; cut into (8) 5 1/8" squares, then cut in half diagonally to make 16 triangles 7 strips 2 1/4" x WOF for binding 1/8 yard Light Pink Tonal, /4 yards Backing of Choice 2 pieces 74" long Making the Blocks Note: Use a 1/4" seam allowance for all stitching. 1. Sew a 2 5/8" yellow strip to a 2 5/8" light pink strip to make a strip set. Press seam toward the light pink strip. Repeat with yellow and dark pink 2 5/8" strips and yellow and burgundy 2 5/8" strips to make 3 strip sets total. Crosscut the strip sets into 16 each 2 5/8" light pink segments, 2 5/8" dark pink segments, and 2 5/8" burgundy segments. Cut 16 of each 2 5/8" 2 5/8" 2 5/8" 2. Join 2 light pink segments to make a light pink four-patch. Press seam to 1 side. Repeat to make 8 light pink units total. Repeat to make 8 dark pink and 8 burgundy units. Make 8 of each

3 3. Stitch a light green triangle to a purple triangle. Press seam toward the purple triangle. Repeat to make 16 purple triangle units. Repeat with light green and lavender triangles to make 8 lavender triangle units. Make 16 Make 8 4. Sew a light pink four-patch to a purple triangle unit. Press seam toward the triangle unit. Repeat with a dark pink four-patch and purple triangle unit. Join the 2 pieced strips to complete (1) 9" x 9" purple block. Press seam to 1 side. Repeat to make 8 blocks total. 5. Stitch a burgundy four-patch to a lavender triangle unit. Press seam toward the triangle unit. Repeat to make a second pieced strip. Join the 2 pieced strips to complete (1) 9" x 9" lavender block. Press seam to 1 side. Repeat to make 4 blocks total. Make 8 Make 4 Completing the Quilt Note: Refer to the quilt drawing on the cover as needed throughout the following steps. 1. Sew 2 purple blocks and 2 tan flower patch squares alternately together with (3) 2" x 9" dark green sashing strips to make row 1. Press seams toward the sashing strips. Repeat to make row 4, keeping the flower patch squares upright in the row. Row 1 Row 4 2. Stitch 2 purple blocks and 2 lavender blocks alternately together with 3 dark green sashing strips to make row 2. Press seams toward the sashing strips. Repeat to make row 3. Rows 2 & 3 3. Join 4 dark green sashing strips with (3) 2" dark pink squares to make a sashing row. Press seams toward the sashing strips. Repeat to make 3 sashing rows total. Sashing Row Make 3 4. Join the block rows and sashing rows to complete the 39" x 39" quilt center. Press seams toward the sashing rows. 5. Sew the 2 1/2" dark green strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 39" strips and (2) 43" strips. Sew the shorter strips to opposite sides of the quilt center and the longer strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips.

4 6. Stitch (5) 9" Block Party flower squares together on the top and bottom edges to make a side border strip. Press seams to 1 side. Repeat to make a second side border strip. Sew the strips to opposite sides of the quilt center. Press seams toward the strips. 7. Sew 7 Block Party flower squares side to side to make the top border strip. Press seams to 1 side. Repeat to make the bottom border strip. Sew the strips to the top and bottom of the quilt center. Press seams toward the strips. 8. Stitch the 3 1/2" lavender swirl strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 60" strips and (2) 66" strips. Sew the shorter strips to opposite sides and the longer strips to the top and bottom to complete the quilt top. Press seams toward the strips. 9. Remove the selvage edges from the 74" backing pieces. Join the pieces on the long edges with a 1/2" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim the side edges to make a 74" x 74" backing piece. 10. Layer, quilt, and bind using your favorite methods and the purple speckle binding strips to complete the quilt.
