2 March Show and Tell Jill s cotton plaid shawl in spring colours, and her handspun cotton with striped woven tunic dress. Sandi D s felted BFL sheep, And Diane s mauve hand carded beaded scarf made from her alpaca. 2
3 Michele s block twill cottolin towels and gradation dyed teal lace shaw. And Pat s felted tea cosies. Donna s travel find: wonderful ironworks frog rocker. 3
4 Barbara B s prolific knittings ready for the September sale. 4
5 Lori s table runner in cottolin warp with linen weft. Annelise s amazing tapestry that she has been working on for twenty years. 5
6 Alison s pebble-weave inkle loom bands. Linda s lightly woven merino and alpaca shawl. 6
7 Sandi R celebrated her 70th birthday by going on a Maiwa tour in India. She shared many of the wonderful textiles and tales of her trip. 7
8 Carol J s lovely handspuns, and Marion has dismantled her Mom s old braided rug and is planning on making them into new chair mats. 8
9 Cynara s linen runner and placemats, knitted bag from Elsebeth Lavold s Viking knits book, Linen fabric planned for making a shirt, And Terry s sheep tapestry. 9
10 March Textile Evening Terry and Linda guided a Tapestry workshop. Guild members came with all manner of tapestry looms or frames and we had a wonderful evening warping and working on our samplers. 10
11 April Show and Tell Tapestry Stories Following our March textile evening of a tapestry workshop with Terry and Linda, Guild members brought some of their samplers in progress as well as some- woven in years gone by. Barbara B s tapestries from many years ago, and below left, her daughter s tapestry work done as a child, and Michele s tapestry worked from a painting that her grand-daughter made. 11
12 The tapestry weaving process is so unique to each artist. Sandi L s colour blocks, Terry s colour blending, And Annelise s freestyle work, with her explanation of her weaving poetry path with pauses for Sudoko. 12
13 Barb H s amazing run of wool krokbragd rug/runners. 13
14 Cynara and Terry shared a cotton warp and wove kimono jackets. Cynara s is handspun carbonized bamboo and merino/ silk, and Terry s is wool stranded with a shiny rust boucle. 14
15 Gudrun s hand towels woven from variegated yarn, Jill s soft green waffle towels and Carol J s colour and weave gamp towels. 15
16 Type to enter text Carol J s Providence spinnings, Peggy s alpaca wool spinning and Michele has been knitting and weaving with her variegated dyed wool/ silk yarn. 16
17 Alison shared the Doubleweave pickup inkle bands that she has been preparing in readiness for teaching a class in the Braids Conference coming up in July in Washington. 17
18 Cynara s bag made from inkle weaving sampler that she made following Alison s pebbleweave pickup class a few years ago. And Cynara s three samplers of double weave pickup on the inkle loom. Alison asked Cynara, Terry and Cynthia to be lab rats for her upcoming double weave class. 18
19 Muriel s teeny tiny spinning wheel with a Swedish rhyme inscribed, and a skein of Falkland wool and mohair blend. 19
20 Evid s Quincy Hat and yarn, Bobbin lace bibs found in a free pile on the side of the road. Treasures from another time. Books to be found in VIRL, and colourful rovings ready to spin. 20
21 Michele shared the Doubleweave round robin sampler, complete and off the Guild loom. Very successful! 21

Next in line, Guild members for personal use, with a damage deposit for a period of one month. Damage deposit of $25 for the louet table loom and $10 deposit for all other equipment. Deposits will be repaid upon return of equipment in clean and good order. TSWG meetings are held in St. Peterʼs Church Hall on the second Tuesday of each month, except during the months of July, August. Meetings are held from 10:00 to 2:00. Note: June and December are Potluck Textile evenings are held on the fourth Tuesday from 7-9 pm at the hall. TSWG business year runs from June 1st to May 31st. After a short business session, the rest of the time is spent sharing show and tell textiles, and at times we run textile demonstrations or bring in a speaker. TSWG mailing address is: P.O.
