Our first Hawk Run Hollow Stitch-In last Saturday provided inspiration for all of us, and those attending want to do it again, so watch for another Hawk Run Hollow Saturday morning in late May. If you have a HRH piece in your collection and have hesitated to begin, get it out and join us. And if you love one or two of these fabulous designs but don t have it yet, you have a short time left to purchase them at 15% off. PAGE 12 A VERY SPECIAL THEMED SAMPLER SUNDAY WITH A FOCUS ON COWS Our special guest, Vickie LoPiccolo Jennett, gave us a preview of her article, Cows: Outstanding in the Field of Needlework appearing in the Summer 2010 edition of Sampler & Antique Needlework, available now ($6.99). Below, Vickie s sampler for which the reproduction is included in the SANQ issue. It s keyed to Belle Soie silk and Lakeside linen. We would be pleased to ship to you a kit for this beautiful sampler; with hand-dyed linen (2-inch margins in the count of your choice) and Belle Soie silk the cost is $80. If you prefer another type of silk, we will be happy to convert it to AVAS or NPI for you. Isn t the original frame magnificent as well? It was such a treat to see the original. Left, Vickie sharing her research for the article she authored; center left, the group who attended; and below, Vickie and Rosi, following the cow theme, served Brown Cows, with or without! You can see by the big smiles in the bottom photo that everyone loved the special treat. We also served cheese in keeping with the dairy theme, but I cautioned all not to expect such special refreshments each time.
