He succeeds Lincoln Parish Sheriff Mike Stone. Sheriff Gautreaux said, "While working in law enforcement for the past forty years; as a uniform patrol deputy, a Police Chief, and now a Sheriff; I have served in many capacities on many boards and committees. Being elected President of the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association; however; is the pinnacle of my career. I am humbled to have my peers honor me with this position and trust me with such responsibility. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together for the betterment of Law Enforcement." His third term as Sheriff of East Baton Rouge Parish, which was unopposed, begins on July 1, 2016.

2 DEPUTIES OF THE MONTH Deputy Henry C. Chandler, assigned to the Judicial Process division, began his full time service with the office in 2013; he was previously a Reserve Deputy. Deputy Chandler is very professional and courteous; he never hesitates to help ensure all documents are served in a timely manner. He is being honored as Civil Deputy of the Month. Sergeant Stephen P. Hill is Detectives and Special Operations Deputy of the Month. Sergeant Hill began his career with the office in 1998 in Corrections; he was later transferred to the Kleinpeter substation, then to the Armed Robbery and Burglary division in During the recent absence of his immediate supervisor he demonstrated superb leadership and supervision. Corporal Andrew R. Landry, assigned to the Fleet Operations division, has earned Administrative/Support Services Deputy of the Month. He started his tenure with the office in 2010 in Communications. He is commended for assisting in the installation of the new WatchGuard in-car video systems. Thanks to Corporal Landry the process is moving along as scheduled. Deputy Tammy L. Johnson is being recognized as Corrections Deputy of the Month. She began her career with the office in Deputy Johnson is a very dedicated and punctual employee. She conducts herself professionally while ensuring visitors are adhering to the policies and rules set in place while visiting the inmates Deputy Jason L. Snowden, assigned to the Scotlandville substation, has been named Uniform Patrol Deputy of the Month. Deputy Snowden began with the office in 2014 assigned to FTO program; he was later transferred to the Gardere Substation and then to the SCAT division. He is commended for diffusing a potentially violent standoff with an armed suspect holding his children hostage.
