3 Situations for Obeying the Law Game 1. You are almost late for school. If you cross the street in the middle of the block instead of at the crosswalk, you will get there sooner. What will you do if you obey? 2. You are shopping with your father and ask for a candy bar. Your father says no, but while he is busy paying for the groceries, you see that you could slip the candy into your pocket without anyone noticing. What will you do if you obey? 3. You are taking your dog for a walk on a leash. You come to a park and want to stop and play, but there is a sign saying No Dogs Allowed. You don t see any grown-ups around, and you could tie the dog s leash to a tree while you play. What will you do if you obey? 4. You are crossing the street at a corner that has a traffic light. No cars are coming, and no one is around. But your light says to wait. What will you do if you obey? 5. You are at the library and have found a book you want to check out, but you left your library card at home. The librarian is not at the front desk and would not see you leave with the book. What will you do if you obey? 6. You are eating a treat you earned from your piano teacher. While walking home, you finish the treat and are left with the candy wrapper. You don t have pockets and there isn t a trash can in sight. Your hand is getting hot from holding it you could drop it on the ground and no one will know it was you. What will you do if you obey? 7. You get in the car to go to a friend s birthday party. You ve been anticipating this for weeks and are so excited. It s just a couple miles away so you decide it won t hurt to not buckle your seatbelt this time and plus, the car has already started moving. What should you do if you obey? 8. While in the school bathroom you notice some children writing with permanent markers on the bathroom wall. You know that it is ruining the school. What should you do if you obey the school rules? 9. Your friend invited you to play. You hop on your bike and as you start to pedal you hear your mom say, Don t forget to wear your helmet. Ah, but that means you ll have to run back to the garage to find it. What will you do if you obey? 10. Your mom has asked you to let her know where you are going if you leave the house. After your homework is done, you go to Tom s house. Not long after, Jack comes over and invites you to join in a basketball game. What will you do if you obey your family rule? 11. It s been such a busy week you forgot it was Friday! When you teacher announces to get a paper and pencil for the spelling test, you panic. Lucky you, Jane is sitting close by. You decide that if you don t know a word, you could look on her paper and copy her answer. What will you do if you obey the rule? 12. You re going to meet a friend at the movie. It took you longer to do your chores than you thought so you re late. You wanted to be there 10 minutes ago; the movie will start any minute. You beg your mom to go faster! What will you do if you obey?
