1 Eileen Hunt Review Status 8150 Sunset Ron Hirsch <> To: Eileen Hunt Tue, Feb 4, 2014 at 4:17 PM Thanks, Eileen. We ll look into these issues and get back to you as soon as possible. Ron From: Eileen Hunt Sent: Tuesday, February 04, :03 PM To: Ron Hirsch Subject: Re: Review Status 8150 Sunset Hi Ron, Hope you had a good weekend. I heard back from Jeannie and just talked to Tim. The potential queuing to the proposed loading zone, being so close to the intersection, would back up on the intersection. The EB right turn traffic on Sunset and/or SB Crescent Heights traffic would be unable to move. Thus creating congestion and unsafe driver behavior to maneuver around the congestion. The sidewalk should be continuous...all the way to the plaza. As illustrated in the Overall Plan L102, a pedestrian would have to cross the egress for the valet and cross the main driveway + truck loading driveway. By the way, we need Bureau of Engineering's input when driveways are wider than 30 feet. Is there any way the valet can be offstreet/on site? Then maybe the valet ingress could be redesigned so it is more like a driveway? For the left turn out of the Crescent Heights driveway, the visibility needs to be checked due to the curvature of the roadway. City of Los Angeles

I m pre 猄 y sure I know the answer, but could you tell me the specific concerns that the Design and District folks have regarding the on street valet opera 韜 ons, so that I can let the applicant know and try to figure out something that might be more acceptable to LADOT? Is it possible that in your assessment le 猄 er, that you indicate that LADOT has not specifically approved the Crescent Heights valet drop off area, and that the applicant should con 韜 nue to work with LADOT regarding its design and opera 韜 ons, and obtain sign off on that item prior to issuance of any building permits? I think that would allow you to finish your le 猄 er so the DEIR can be circulated, but give 韜 me to the applicant to work with LADOT to find a solu 韜 on (if no solu 韜 on is reached, the valet drop off area would not be approved, and would need to be eliminated or relocated). 3 I've read through the traffic study and started our letter. Haven't gone through the CMA worksheets and trying to figure out how to write the part about the improvements at Sunset & Crescent Heights. Has the site plan changed for the project? What is happening with the valet? Design and District aren't really keen on the valet. Thanks, Eileen. As always, please feel free to call me if you have any ques 韜 ons or comments.
