Successful Consultants will tell you the secret to success is simple book and hold Parties each week, and share the benefits and rewards of PartyLite with others. With PartyLite anything is achievable. A great income can be yours, whether you are looking for extra pocket money, to replace a lost income, or start out on a brand new venture! Just decide how much you want to make each week and calculate how many Parties you ll need to hold to make it happen. With an outstanding profit plan, PartyLite offers you: 20 % weekly profit payment on your sales. PLUS an additional 5 % bonus when your monthly sales reach 1,200/ 2,000 What could this mean for you? For example if your Party average was 230/ 345, your first six Parties could easily bring you over 1,200/ 2,000 in sales. This would qualify you for the 5% monthly bonus giving you a monthly income of 345/ ! Income Example 6 Parties 230/ 345 = 1,380 / 2,070 total sales 1,380 / 2,070 in sales x 20 % profit = 276 / 414 profit 1,380 / 2,070 in sales x 5 % monthly bonus = 69 / profit Total Consultant profit = 345 / Top Tip So it really is up to you, you decide how much you want to earn: more Parties equal more income. Be consistent and your business will grow. By holding at least six Parties ( 230/ 345) every month, you can always target yourself for that extra 5 % monthly bonus.! 8 top tips To help you get off to the best possible start, follow our Top Tips 1. Hold six Parties in your first three weeks! Q: Why should I hold six Parties in my first three weeks? A: This three week training period allows you to develop the skills you need in a concentrated time frame and will give you the confidence to get off to the best possible start as a PartyLite Consultant. This will enable you to quickly Qualify (submit 1,000/ 1,250 in sales) which means you will have paid off your SmartKIT and begun to earn 20% Profit on all your sales. 2. coach your first six Hostesses to invite people you don t know. Q: Who should my first six Hostesses invite? A: The key to building your business is to expand your circle of customers beyond the family and friends who are often your first six Hostesses. It s easy to do if you suggest your Hostess invites people you don t know. This will help you to book Parties into different groups of people. 8

Q: What do I do if people say no or someone cancels or postpones a Party? A: Keep in mind that getting no s is a natural part of the business. You can share in each other s excitement, learn together, laugh together and support each other. So start thinking about people you d love to work with in PartyLite. A: The key to growing your business is to consistently do the things that will help you stay in business: Hold six or more Parties every month to be on track for bonus level. Attend all PartyLite training meetings and events. Stay in contact with your Customers e.g. Courtesy Call, Candle Connection Stay in contact with your Leader (have a fixed day each week you get in contact) Make Follow Up calls to say thank you to your Hostesses and Guests for purchasing from you. Open up the conversation to see if they would: A: Like to receive free products. B: Know people in certain areas where you would like to work. A: There is a vast amount of information and business tools available online via the Consultant Business Centre (CBC). When you get your PartyLite ID you will have access to the CBC. Here you will have access to: A news feed containing important information from Head Office Digital Literature including flyers, leaflets, promotional material and business tools The Extranet where you will submit all your Party orders! The Candle Connection, a professional newsletter in your name to your customers The facility to create and maintain your very own professional Personal Website! Great for promoting your business and the PartyLite brand! The Party Management system - allows you to open your Hostesses Party and add outside orders online Shop: allows your customers to shop 24/7 supporting your income, for which you receive full Profit! 12 step 1 How to create and complete your Contact List? Prepare a huge contact list containing everyone you know, from family to people from the local shops/hairdressers, who might potentially host a Party or become a PartyLite Consultant. Your contact list is a tool you ll use throughout your business, so don t stop until you have a list of 50+ names. IMPORTANT: Take addresses for all your contacts and store their details in the My Customers Section on the CBC. This will ensure they receive Candle Connection s from Head Office containing your details. So when your contacts want to take up an offer, they ll call you direct! Party Volume Discount is based on the sales and bookings from a Party*. Your Hostess is entitled to 15 % Party Volume Discount (level of Party Volume Discount is subject to change promotionally) of her total personal compensatable sales when holding a Party of 195/ 290 with one booking*. Not only that but she is also entitled to one item at 25% discount for every 195/ 290 in sales she achieves. Items at 25 % discount (refer to chart below). Hostess Shopping Spree! Top Tip Hostess Programme Tips To help you learn the Hostess Programme, practice on family and friends. See if they understand your explanation of all the benefits they d receive for hosting a Party. Talk to your Leader about how he/she presents the Hostess programme on the phone and at Party. Bring the Hostess Special or Booking Gift to the Party, this will draw more attention to the programme and motivate the Hostess.! facebook Tip Use your facebook page to promote special Hostess offers and to get yourself more sales! Advertise the link to your Personal Website. Particularly at the outset of your PartyLite career, regular events are the recipe for a successful expansion of your business. As Facebook enables you to reach many people and, therefore, many faithful customers it s important that you provide regular updates with attractive offers for Hostesses! Your Hostess will also be happy to receive extra Party Volume Discount when your event invitations bring even more Guests to her Party. 14

15 step 3 Learn the Hostess Programme The better you are at communicating the Hostess programme to potential Hostesses, the more Parties you ll have booked in your diary. 16 step 4 Why Hostess Coach and how? What does Hostess coaching involve? It involves getting a Party set up for BIG success! Hostess coaching helps your Hostess build attendance, outside orders and outside bookings. Distribute Hostess Packs Hostess Coaching Check List: As soon as you have booked your first Party, you should give your Hostess her Hostess Pack, you can deliver Hostess packs personally or post them, depending on the amount of time before the Party. Note: If you want to have 10 Guests in attendance, it is wise to invite at least 20 Guests because not all of them will be able to make the Party date. 17 step 5 How do I plan and hold my first Party? Are you feeling nervous about your first Party? Don t worry; you ll succeed just like the 2,500 of your peers have! Take time to prepare your first Party, the better prepared you are, the smoother it will go and the more comfortable you will you be. Below are listed some tools that will help you prepare: Accompany your recruiting Consultant to one of her Parties Prepare an infomercial to introduce yourself and your job at the Party Gain product knowledge Test how to display products & create a Party table Structure the flow of your Party Create ambience Interact with the Guests Use cue cards to prompt you Talk about the earning opportunities and promote the SmartKIT and FastKIT Be yourself and have fun! You can find further information about the sequence of a Party on the CBC. Please ask your Leader for further information. She/he will be happy to help you with the planning of your first Party.

18 step 6 How to obtain multiple bookings and why? Multiple bookings mean you are always adding two or more Parties to your diary and keeping your business growing. They are the key to having a successful PartyLite business. Tips for Multiple Bookings 1. Have your Hostess line up one booking in advance of the Party. 2. Talk about the opportunity to book a Party at least twice throughout your demonstration (these are known as bookings seeds ) and share all the Hostess benefits. 3. Invite everyone at the Party to book a Party and date it that night. 4. Use the word provisional with those that are reluctant to pick a date. 5. Close using Door Prize Slips. These are invaluable tools for future business which store your guests data for those all important follow up calls. Enter this information on the CBC so they receive promotional updates via candle connection. This will undoubtedly get you future bookings, like it has for many other Consultants. Top Tip Coach your first six Hostesses to invite people you don t know. Finding new people outside your immediate circle of friends brings excitement and new life into your business and helps keep it going and growing. 19 step 7 How to Sponsor? When people sense your excitement and see your enthusiasm for what you re doing, they may want to join you. Sharing your business with somebody else and growing your team is fun and rewarding. Remember, when you sponsor a qualified new Consultant, you will receive additional rewards please refer to the Profit Plan 2.0 booklet. 20 step 8 Take advantage of Training The easiest and most fun way to become comfortable in your new business is to take advantage of every training opportunity. Refer to the CBC every day to keep updated on training events, latest product information and other relevant information. Observe Parties with your Leader Party observation is important on-the-job training that allows you to watch an experienced Consultant do a Party. Attending at least two Party observations is highly recommended and will build your confidence and skills. There will be lots of things to watch for while observing a Party, so take notes and incorporate the things you like or think the Hostess/Guests liked into your own Party. Ask your Leader to observe your Party in order to give you great tips to improve your style and fun-factor! Fun is key to success. 20

21 step 8 Training Opportunities Plan to attend as many meetings as you can. Unit Meetings are especially something that should be on the top of your list and something you should not miss. You ll get lots of important business training, meet other new Consultants, make new PartyLite friends and have lots of fun. PartyLite s annual National Conference is THE event of the year and something that you should definitely attend as it is here that PartyLite rewards your success and introduces the new products of the forthcoming, strongest selling season Autumn/Christmas. Here you also have the opportunity to meet the General Manager and PartyLite UK Head Office team in person. Partylite Training for Consultants and LeaderS Unit meeting a workshop provided by your Leader You ll receive skilled training, meet other Consultants in your Unit and get recognition for your accomplishments. This is your support team and the place where you can get one-on-one coaching. Regional meeting a meeting with your Regional Vice President* (RVP) and Leader team This meeting is planned for all the Consultants in your RVP s region. It will be packed with information from the company, product knowledge, booking tips, sponsoring ideas, recognition and fun! You ll get lots of great tips from successful Consultants and Leaders on how to build your business. By taking advantage of your scheduled PartyLite meetings, you ll be able to take advantage valuable training, gaining a wealth of advice from experienced peers. The easiest and most fun way to become comfortable in your new business is to take advantage of every training opportunity. You are having lots of fun holding Parties, booking new Parties, and sharing all the benefits of your new PartyLite business with others. Remember, your Sponsor/Leader is eager to help and support you in every way from answering questions to helping you place your first order. Plus, you have the ongoing support of the Head Office team, plus the ongoing guidance of your monthly communication Reflections, and PartyLite Consultant Business Centre containing everything you need to boost your business! 22

The determination with which you drive your business will allow you to climb the career ladder it s always worthwhile! Your Consultants are each qualified with at least 1,000/ 1,250 in cumulative compensatable sales and active with at least 195/ 290 in personal compensatable sales for the month. You achieve a minimum of 800/ 1,000 in personal compensatable sales.
