1 Working With New Consultants Tanya Smyk Hello Future Leaders! I m excited to be here at LITE14 to share with you how I use the Brite Start Brochure and Start Your BIZ card to earn maximum BIZBUCK$ and create a Unit that constantly has fresh new Consultants flowing into it. Hopefully I can help you learn then you, in turn, can inspire your Consultants, teach them and of course EARN the income you deserve it all starts at the very beginning. The start of your Consultants careers with PartyLite is a critical time to teach them best practices in THEIR businesses. Capitalizing on their excitement, willingness to learn and PartyLite innocence will benefit you, them AND your entire Unit. Have you all seen our newest Brite Start Brochure? I just LOVE it! Clean, clear and concise! Focusing on the Parties makes your new Consultants KNOW that they can achieve EVERYTHING they see in the brochure. Let me tell you what I do I m going to explain how I maximize the best sponsoring rewards program I have seen in my three and a half years with PartyLite BIZ BUCK$! For those not yet with PartyLite (because I believe there s a time for PartyLite in everyone s life!), I refer to it as our, profit sharing program. While I do mention it at my Parties during the Stealing Hearts game, this process for me typically starts at the opportunity interview- where I first share the income opportunity with PartyLite and then I turn to the Brite Start Brochure and the Start Your Biz card to get them started. Now I ll explain why I do it. I focus on these two incredible tools that PartyLite has made for us because when a Consultant starts his or her business strong, with lots of Parties on their calendar, a clear set goal containing PICTURES, they are in a better position to dictate their schedule later down the road. It s better to come out of the gate strong than to trickle out and be struggling to fill your calendar the Brite Start rewards are the carrots to dangle in front of your new, excited team members. What I want to accomplish. My goal in doing this is to make sure that my new Consultants feel GREAT about their decision to try PartyLite. I want them to leave our meeting ON FIRE, PartyLite 2013, to be used only for PartyLite business Revision 1

2 raring to go. I want them to go home to their spouse or call their best friend and say, you HAVE to see this! They start successfully; and when does success NOT feel FANTASTIC!? It also doesn t hurt for you as their sponsor or Leader to earn some BIZBUCK$ along the way ;) At my opportunity interviews, I review how we make money, the two ways to get their Kit, how Leader structure works, I touch on earning trips very briefly (you don t want to overload them with information you know they won t retain anyway). Then I grab the Brite Start Brochure. It becomes my guide for the rest of our interview. My goal is to focus on 3 key points: #1: focus on the Parties #2: Get the new Consultant to focus on earning EVERYTHING in the Brite Start Brochure. Set the plan for and WITH them. Set the bar HIGH. Make it sound like, it s just what brand new Consultants do, it s part of the process to earn everything seen in the brochure. Make it normal. #3: Sponsoring it s also something that new Consultants all just DO. It s normal. It s part of the process. It s not if they are going to sponsor, it s who. Now I d like to show you what exactly I say to get those points across to the new Consultant.I m now going to address you as if you are my new Consultant so you can hear the words I say..just to remind you I will be working with Canadian numbers and the U.S. numbers are a little different. PartyLite has a special program in place JUST for brand new Consultants like you, Susan. It s designed to help you get going strong with your business in your first two to three months. People don t believe that we don t necessarily HAVE to pay for our business supplies do you remember at Laura s Party how I said you could earn them? Well this is how. In your first full month of business (which actually ends at the end of your SECOND month of business PartyLite wants to be fair and give you a FULL month), when you do just two $250 or more-parties, PartyLite will send you a $60 business pack that has three dozen tealights and a pack of catalogs. They know you ll likely be busy handing those out, burning them on your display table, using them for prizes so they want to help you by replenishing them. When you do just four $250 or more Parties, you get all of that PLUS a $95 fragrance sampling pack all the candles you see pictured here. You can use these products as incentives for people to book with you, prizes, etc. Hold six or more Parties by the end of your first official month, get the 2-Party pack, PartyLite 2013, to be used only for PartyLite business Page 2 of 5

3 the 4-Party pack AND the $115 value Biz Support Pack that includes postcard invitations, Customer Brochures with free tealight coupons, tealights PLUS PartyLite will pay for your website for an entire month. This is just MONTH ONE. Do it AGAIN in MONTH TWO, receive everything pictured here. That s more than $650 in product and business supplies for FREE! Plus all of the income you will earn let s say you did this each month, with just six average $500 Parties per month, on average you ll earn $100-$150 per Party so for 12 Parties that s about $1,800 in income for a total of almost $2,500 in cash and business tools! This example would mean you would bonus in both months, earning you these two awesome PartyLite tote bags to travel to your Parties in style. That means you are going to work once in weeks one and three and twice in weeks two and four for a total of six Parties. Easy peasy. How does that sound? (I check in with him/her to gauge and reinforce excitement) Next you ll want to Add 15+ Customers to your Preferred database each month a practice I personally recommend to begin building your Customer base. When you do this each month you will get 100 of those tealight totes I handed out at Laura s Party, PLUS two dozen tealights to put them in. They are perfect for distributing while you re out and about in the community and to book more Parties. It doesn t stop here! For each friend, family member, Host and Customer you meet who want to give PartyLite a try and sign up during this two to three month Brite Start period, you will receive a $100 PartyLite Product Gift Certificate redeemable for everything from wax to your favorite product. Susan, I want you to have ALL of these perks it s TOTALLY doable. I m going to quickly jot down a plan for you so you can see how that could happen. Your start date is. This means your first month will end on and your second month on. Good news! Your Grand Opening Party counts as one of your Brite Start Parties. Your sister said she d have a Party, right? There s two. Your boyfriend s mom also said she d have one. Now you have three. Let s say we book two at your Party, and one from your sister s Party. that s six Parties this month alone..and you have earned all of Month one s perks. Don t forget you actually have two months to do this, so you d be ahead of the game. You book Parties at your Parties, so if you just modestly booked one to two at each of these, you d be totally set for month tow! Imagine holding 12 Parties and booking two from each. That s 24 future Parties on your calendar. Now that we ve are feeling comfortable about how our booking plan works let s move onto my favorite part sponsoring! I mentioned earlier we have what I call a profit sharing bonus. Let s talk about that. PartyLite 2013, to be used only for PartyLite business Page 3 of 5

4 Each friend that starts earns you an average of $ in cash and gift certificates, a$100 PPC and $62.50 BizBucks. JUST for holding an average $500 Grand Opening Party. Of course you will earn more for each Party THEY do during THEIR Brite Start months. Now let s make a quick list of people you d want to work with, or people you think could benefit from this awesome opportunity. Who s a friend strapped for cash? A fun friend? A friend with kids and a busy life who could use a night out with the girls once in a while? Someone who ALWAYS invites you to home shopping Parties? Someone who LOVES PartyLite? Remember, this could be anywhere in Canada, it doesn t have to be in this city. OK, great. Now I could give them a call tomorrow, with you on the phone and spend about minutes showing them how we make money. If two of them decide to give it a try, you become a Team Builder, which means you get $200 in product gift certificates and you re on your way to making more money! Say those two girls each have a friend who could use this gift, BAM! You just promoted yourself to Unit Leader!...And extra pay through our BIZBUCK$ program for helping people do something totally FUN! So how does this plan we ve laid out look to you, Susan? Pretty doable, right? Great! Now let s set a date for your Party, make a Guest list and get inviting! That way all you have to do is invite/remind/invite/remind. Share your excitement about starting your OWN BUSINESS. If you opened up a store in town, wouldn t you tell EVERYONE? This is the same thing. You will want to invite everyone you know. I Host Coach and make their Guest list with them, and then I get her to qualify her Guests by placing them into one of three categories: - Guest - Host - lead Then I complete her start-strong plan with the, Start Your Biz card. I say, Susan, I m SO EXCITED to work with you to make some extra cash and have some fun! I brought my laptop let s get you set up with your ebusiness package. So you have your Host pack, we ve scheduled your Party and you have your Guest list of people to invite. Before we go, I m going to give you a cheat sheet to help you stay focused before the Party. Pull out the Start Your Biz card. 3 easy steps we ve already done step 1. Step 2 booking five Parties in addition to your Grand Opening Party. You will learn exactly HOW to book these Parties at our training session this Saturday. Finally, which 3 friends from PartyLite 2013, to be used only for PartyLite business Page 4 of 5

5 your Guest list would you like to work with the most? Write their names down here and we will give them a shout. Maybe the opportunity is for them? Maybe not. I never like making that decision for people at minimum, it s information they can store away for when the time IS right for them. Susan, you are ALL SET. Give me a shout later today with your friends contact information and the best time to call them. I will you the details on our upcoming training when I get back to my office. It s important to be specific about next steps. They need to know that you are a team. They may not remember much about what you said during this interview, but they WILL remember when you re going to be in touch with them next. Depending on the personality of the Consultant and how much support they actually want from you, it s a good practice to end each call with an indication of when you will be in touch next. This way, they are never left hanging. I find when I focus on these simple steps with new Consultants they are more successful and stay in PartyLite. Those that follow the steps become my next Team Builders and Leaders. I have LEARNED that by INSPIRING new Consultants and TEACHING them the basics of PartyLite they will EARN more and that translates into more success and earnings for everyone.
