2 NEW JEWELER CHECK-LIST SET IMPORTANT DATES Set your training show date: Set your practice show date: (1-2 days after your training show) This will be a show for those who say they are unable to attend your training show. It is an easy practice time for you and an easy booking that WILL count toward your Quickstart. MARK YOUR GOALS! Count out 45 days, 60 days, 90 days and 120 days from the date of your training show. Mark these important dates on your calendar. 45 Day Deadline for Quickstart 6: 60 Day Deadline for Quickstart 9: 90 Day Deadline for Quickstart 12: 120 Day Deadline for Homeshow Club and Joan s Rookie Team: Mark your next up-line training on your calendar. Your attendance at training will greatly increase the success of your business! The next up-line training is: GET THOSE BOOKINGS Listen to the New Jeweler Booking Call while you are waiting for your jewelry to come in. This is a MUST first thing. Download the call on the New Jeweler page at Note: The password is: Iamspecial Take a look around and get acquainted with the website. This will be your lifeline! Make sure and click New Jewelers tab at the top left of the main page. All the information you will need is listed right here, including: The Home show, Booking Verbiage, Guest Survey sheet, and much more! Complete the FRANK sheet. List everyone you can think of! Shoot for 100 names Mark 10 friends that you feel you can ask the biggest favor from. Highlight your top 3- the girls you know you can ask to do a show in your first 2 weeks of business-and call these girls first. Refer to Booking Verbiage found on the New Jeweler page at This will be your guide to getting bookings. It has been used for many years and it works! Get on the phone with 3 friends that you can ask the biggest favor from and book shows with them first! It s best to book one show the same week as your training show and schedule the other 2 the week after. 3-6 FRIENDS YOU CAN ASK THE BIGGEST FAVOR FROM Name: Name: Name: Name: Name: Name:

3 You want to schedule 2 shows each week. Remember, at the beginning you will work more than you want- our main goal is to accomplish the Quick Start and make the investment back! Refer to the Hostess Coaching Checklist and follow the steps for each hostess on your calendar. Line up as many practice partners as possible the night of your Training Show. Your sponsor will teach you how to tell others about Premier. This completes the second part of your training. This can be anyone, they do not have to have an interest in Premier. Doing this will help you learn how to tell others about the business Set up your ProPay or Square Account *Login to your Premier Designs account and look to the top right for Jeweler Resources then Business Links then Propay or visit Once you have made it to the ProPay page, look to the top for the Sign Up link. Note: The cost of Propay is $39.95 per year for online access or $41.95 per year for online access and a JAK to allow you to swipe cards from your smartphone or tablet. Propay is connected with your online Premier website and makes it simple to send your orders in. It requires a credit card # for immediate signup. Square is free to set up READ OVER YOUR JEWELER HANDBOOK (found on the New Jeweler page at The information that these contain is vital to the success of your business! Setup your personal Premier website where your customers can view the online catalog and where you will be able to send out pre-designed invitations for your shows via . Visit and log in to your jeweler account to set this up. You mus set this up to have access to the online catalog WHEN YOUR JEWELRY AND SUPPLIES COME IN... Use your jewelry tags to tag each piece. Tip-Tiny safety pins are great to pin on your tags to your necklaces and bracelets. Login to the Premier Designs webpage. ( see Jeweler Login ) Click Jeweler Resources --> Business Forms --> Business Tools (click Jewelry Tag Labels ) Be sure and put your name and contact information all materials that you will be handing out, including: catalogs, order forms, hostess packets brochures, etc. Put your Hostess Packets together. (As you are booking shows, you ll want to send each hostess one of these so that she can get working on her show!) The Hostess Packet is the large pink envelope. Inside, you will need to include: 1-2 catalogs 4 to 5 order forms A guest list Hostess Perks worksheet under Resources-Jewelry Shows on Premiers site

Expandable File This is to keep track of all of your business receipts. Small calendar for mileage Keep this in your car to keep up with business mileage. Pick up a file box or a plastic container large enough to hold: Catalogs Order Forms Hostess Packets Marketing Plans This box will stay in your car so that you can be prepared for business at all

8 HOW TO GET BOOKINGS Call your friends and family and use this exact verbiage! Hey! It s, I hope I am not catching you at a bad time! I won t keep you but just a minute., I have a huge favor to ask you! I really need your help! I am starting a new business to help make some extra money. (Tell the reason you are doing Premier here). Have you heard of Premier Designs Jewelry? I am now a Premier Designs jewelry lady. The jewelry is beautiful and it has a great guarantee. Here is where I really need your help: I need 2 friends that will help me in my first week of business. (Then you move to filling your 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week, etc.) All that means is that you will allow me to come over to your house, lay my jewelry out on your kitchen table, and invite a few friends over for coffee. Here is the huge favor: will you be one of my friends that help me get started? (Pause, let here answer) I will be able to give you a lot of free jewelry for helping me! The average hostess gets $100-$300 in free jewelry. It is really no big deal. If she says YES... GET A DATE! If she will not commit immediately, at least have her give you a tentative date. WHY? People are busy. If you don t have them commit to a date and time while they are excited and willing to help, they will forget about it later. Plus, your friend will be more apt to change her mind and you might not get her on the phone again. Seize the moment!) PLAN B: If she says NO... Ask if she would be willing to pass the catalog around and see if friends might want to order. You can still get her some free jewelry if she will help you out. WHY? This will at least give you new business and new contacts and we will work to eventually flip this catalog show into an actual show. (Note: You will want to get her a hostess packet immediately and allow 10 to 14 days for her to work on it. Again, you must keep the excitement going by keeping up with her weekly.) You are able to give her 20% of her total sales in free jewelry and one item at 1/2 price. She must have $100 in sales to qualify for the free jewelry from the catalog show. ALWAYS DO THIS... Whether you get a booking or not, offer this: Give her $25 in free jewelry for anyone she can personally get to hold a show for you in the next 30 days. WHY? She may know others who would love to do a show or have done shows in the past. That $25 is a great incentive to get her on the phone and, essentially, working for you! This is called NETWORKING! It works!

9 HOSTESS COACHING CHECKLIST THE NIGHT OF THE SHOW... Set a date Give her a hostess packet and use this verbiage What s a good time to catch you tomorrow, to go over some important details about your party? Like how to get tons of free jewelry! *MUST CALL WITHIN HRS Let her know that if she gets you her guest list within 7 days, she ll get from you. (I give free hostess shipping) Tell her the first thing she wants to do is go home and look through this catalog and pick all her favorite stuff! THE NEXT DAY... Call her and quickly go over the Hostess Packet Has she picked her favorite pieces yet? She ll want to pick at least $200 worth. Let her know that she already has $50 free as long as she has a $100 in sales and honors her date. Remind her about getting you her guest list by the deadline. Tell her 1 in 4 invited attend sohave her over invite! Let her know that not everyone she invites will not be able to come, but they can give her an order. Remind her about Premier s bonus for $100 in pre-orders. Tell her about your pre-order special. Remind her about Premier s bonus when 3 of her friends book their own show. Offer her a special gift if she has 1 booking before the show. Share some quick scoop about Premier with her... Lead into this by saying Now, I know you are working on your guest list, is there anyone you can think of right now that maybe could use some extra money or is looking for something fun to do? Let s invite them to your show to check out Premier! Let her know that you have an awesome referral program: she can get if she refers a friend and they join you in Premier. Tell her she can be keeping her ears and eyes open for anyone and just so she can have a little scoop to tell them: You make 50% of everything you sell- your average pay day is about $200 per show for just 2-3 hours of time. No quotas- you are in for a year no matter what you sell No deliveries to make. No inventory to keep You can get started with zero out of pocket. Ask her if she would like to get to get the free jewelry OR make the money AND get the free jewelry? This option means she signs up to be a jewelry lady.

10 KEY QUESTION: Have you ever thought about doing anything like this? Do you have someone you would like to share this information with? IF SHE SAYS YES- share more with her and let her know that this show can be her big pay day and take the steps needed to get her going before her show. IF SHE SAYS NO- say Oh, no problem. I just wanted to make sure before we do this show, because if you had been, you would be mad at me because I would have cheated you out of your first pay day! Nothing would change- you would still get all the free jewelry, but you would also make all the money. If you change your mind, you can let me know Ladies, this takes 5 minutes of your time. You will see you retail increase and you will also see a major difference in your sponsoring by sharing with every hostess before her show. What if she decides to go ahead and join? You lose NOTHING. You have set her up for success by making that her training show and Premier will pay you a $200 training bonus on your next commission check after her show is turned in. PRACTICE PARTNER VERBIAGE Now that you are an official Premier Designs Jeweler, you need to learn how to tell someone else how to become one! You and your sponsor will sit down with at least 3 practice partners to allow you to learn how to share the business with others. Who knows? They just might join you! HERE IS WHAT YOU LL NEED TO SAY TO THEM TO GET THEM ON THE CALENDAR: Mary, I have a huge favor to ask you. I really need your help. Let me explain. I am in my training program with Premier and I need 3 friends that will be a Premier practice partner for me for this part of my training. All you have to do is just sit and listen It s no big deal.
