1 25 Quick Tips To Unleash Your Inner Marketing Goddess

2 Doing a li)le every day is all you need to make a BIG difference to your business! Is your inner Marketing Goddess bursting to get out? We all have an inner Marke-ng Goddess that is burs-ng to get out, but we are o8en too busy with other stuff to pay it any a<en-on! Use my quick -ps to help you unleash your Marke-ng Goddess and grow your business. Your challenge is to spend 15 minutes a day to tackle the below marke-ng ac-ons. Here are some quick and easy tips to formatting your free report so it will be read:

3 Keep in regular contact with your customers - you never know what future opportuni-es there may be Re- engage with old prospects: Make a list of 10 past prospects that never got back to you for one reason and another. People are busy and may have simply forgot to reply, so re- engage with them to find out if now is a be<er -me. They may not have been ready to buy 6 months ago, but they might be now! Drop them a quick catch up to see how things are going and ask if there is s-ll the opportunity for you to work together. Start a newsle5er: A monthly newsle<er is a fab way to keep in touch with your customers and prospects. Use it to share valuable -ps and advice that is relevant to them and promote your products and services that you know will benefit them. Mail chimp is a great free and easy - marke-ng tool to get you started: Touch base with your clients: Get in contact with clients you haven t spoke to for a while, whether that be by , a call or lunch simply have a catch up! You never know what future poten-al opportuni-es there may be for more work unless you speak to them.

4 Canva is a fantas-c free DIY design tool! Build your online presence: Social media is a great free way to connect and engage with your ideal customers. Depending on your business, different social media plavorms may be more relevant for you. A rule of thumb is that Facebook is more effec-ve for B2C, Linkedin for B2B and twi<er is fab for both! Ensure your profiles clearly get across what you do and the benefits you bring to your customers. Save <me with social media: Social media can be a bit of a -me sucker if you don t use it in a focused way. A good -p is to use a great tool called Hootesuite to save you -me. It allows you to view all your social media plavorms in one place on a central dashboard. You can schedule posts and tweets from here for weeks in advance and monitor interac-ons from your network. Go to to check it out. Design DIY: If you can t afford to outsource to a professional designer, a fantas-c free tool for DIY designs is Canva. It s easy to use and lets you create your own social media covers, website headers, business cards, leaflets and much more! It s great fun, but watch out as hours can fly by when you are on here! :- ) Click here to get started:

5 PROACTIVELY ask for referrals! 7 Proac<vely ask for referrals: Many small businesses get a lot of their new business from referrals without even trying. Imagine how powerful this could be if you actually proac-vely asked for them! Make a list of five of your best customers and contacts and ask them if they know anyone who would benefit from what you do. Give it a try - what have you got to lose? 8 9 Join groups on Linkedin: If you are on Linkedin join ac-ve groups, which are either local or an industry you want to target. Be ac-ve in these groups to raise your profile and posi-on yourself as an expert in your area. Share valuable informa-on in the groups, this could be ar-cles, blogs, star-ng a topical discussion, crea-ng a poll or sharing an interes-ng ar-cle you have seen to get people s views. Linkedin groups are a great way to build rela-onships and engage with prospects. Form alliances: Make a list of other businesses that target the same customers as you do. Are there any opportuni-es to cross promote? For example can you promote each other in your newsle<ers, on your Facebook pages or by doing guest blogs for each other? It s a great way to get in front of a whole new set of ideal customers and also gives you new and interes-ng content to share with your network.

6 Twi<er lists make it much easier to interact with key customers and prospects. 10 Networking: Ensure you prepare a great elevator pitch for when you a<end your networking events. Don t just say who you are and what your business does, instead say how your business helps people and the benefits you bring. Try and get hold of the a<endee list before the event and pick out the top 3 people that would be of most benefit to you to speak to. You can then ask the event organiser if they would mind introducing you to these people on the day. This makes your -me at the networking event far more focused and effec-ve. 11 Create Twi5er lists: There are millions of tweets that go out every second, so your newsfeed can easily get clogged up! To make sure you don t miss what your key customers and prospects are saying set up a list for them. Do this by going to your profile, click more, then on lists and click create new list. You can set up any lists you want, but a good star-ng point may be a customer list, a prospect list and maybe a compe-tor list. If you don t want people to know they are being added to your lists, mark them as private. This gives you a way to easily see what your key contacts are saying and makes it much easier to interact with your key network. 12 Use bitly: Bitly is a great tool that enables you to shorten long web links and also tracks how many clicks you get on each link. Sign up for a free account by going to

7 Create something of value that your ideal customer would happily give their address for. 13 Build your list: It is important to build up your - marke-ng list with lots of your ideal customers. To do this, create something of value for them that they would happily give you their address in order to receive it. This e- book is my freebie to help build my e- marke-ng list. What could you offer that your ideal customers would find really useful? 14 Facebook cover: Have you spent hours crea-ng the perfect Facebook cover to find that when uploaded it looks blurry and unprofessional? Annoying isn't it! The solu-on is really easy... to get a clear, professional looking Facebook cover, simply upload a PNG version of your image rather than a Jpeg. By the way your Facebook cover should be an image of 851 x 315 pixels. 15 Link your Facebook business page to your personal profile: For some reason Facebook makes it hard for some of us to link our business page to our personal profile. It is usually really easy - you just go to the 'work' sec-on on your profile and type in your business page name. However, some-mes this doesn t work. Take a look at this short video on how to do it - it did the trick for me: h<p:// bit.ly/1levgni Make sure you do it via Chrome though or you may struggle.

8 Do something EVERY day no ma<er how small. 16 Do you know who you are targe<ng? Who are your ideal customers? Make sure you know who you are targe-ng and are saying the things they want to hear. I.e. what are their biggest problems and how can you solve them? What are the biggest benefits you can bring to them? Make a list of these points and put them onto your website and in your content so that you are speaking directly to your ideal customers. 17 Do something every day: Commit to a small marke-ng ac-on every day, even if it only takes you 10 minutes. Doing something li<le every day will make a BIG difference to your business. What marke-ng ac-on are you going to commit to today? 18 Create a content bank: Have a brainstorm and jot down all the key areas that you could create content on. From that create 2/4 bullet points under each area. This will give you a great star-ng point for crea-ng content. Rather than twiddling your thumbs each week wondering what you can write about, get all your ideas down so you have one central content bank. Over -me keep adding to this and developing your content as you go.

Set goals for your marke-ng and your business. What do you want to achieve and by when? Get it down on paper and then you can plan to make this happen! 20 Tes<monials the more the be5er: Build up as many tes-monials as you can - they are your most powerful marke-ng tool! A tes-monial proves to your prospects that you are great at what you do and builds credibility. Send an to 5 of your best customers and ask them if they would mind wri-ng a brief tes-monial on the benefits you have brought them. Then make sure you shout about your fab new tes-monials!! 21 Create a short video or webinar: This really helps to posi-on you as an expert and will help your prospects to really get to know you and like you. You can even progress to live webinars, which will create a buzz about your business and let people ask you ques-ons live. This is a great way to engage with your ideal customers.

10 Break your marke-ng tasks down and aim to tackle one each day. 22 Strong call to ac<on: Ensure you have a<rac-ve and strong call to ac-ons in all of your marke-ng ac-vi-es. Whether it be to sign up for a freebie, join a programme or selling a product have it on your Facebook posts, website, blogs and promote it in your newsle<ers. Remember, don t see it as selling - your products and services are going to HELP your prospects, so why wouldn t you shout about it? 23 Survey Monkey: Carry out your own market research using a free tool called Survey Monkey. Offer an incen-ve for comple-ng your survey and use it to find out what your ideal customers want from you. Remember, people are extremely busy so keep your survey short and simple so it is quick and easy to complete Get personal: Find ways to make your customers and prospects feel special. For example send them an ar-cle you saw that you thought they would find of interest, invite them along with you to an event or send them a birthday card. 25 Be consistent: Break your marke-ng tasks down and tackle one a day! The key is consistency and staying at the top of your ideal customers mind that way when they do have a need they will think of you first.
