HOE - Tne name of a colour, for example red.., VALUE - The lighmess or darkness ofa colour. -. ~TENSITY - the brighmess or dullness of a colour., '-----., _ t LOO A continuous mark made on some surface by a moving point Ie may be twodimensional (pend on paper), three-dime:lslonal (wire), or implied. (the ed2:e of a sn::j.ce or form). -. TEXTURE R:fers to the surface quality or feel of an objec~ its' smoothness, roughness or softness. Texture mav. be simulated or actual. Actual texture can be felt with the fingers - while simulated textures are suggested by the artist with her tools.. SHAPE & FOR.'( Shape is an enclosed space defined. by other art elements such as line or colour. Shape has two dimensions: length and width. Some e.-camples of shapes are circles, squaies and triangles. Form is an element of art that has thrce-dimensions: height, width and depth and encloses volume. Cubes, spheres, pynunids and cylinders are ex:unples of fonns., 5. SPACE Refe:s to the dist:lrtce or area between, arouncl above, below or within things.
