1 Summer 2015 President s Message The Tahoe Chaparral Board of Directors met on May 30, Now that all the interior remodels have been completed, our next big project to tackle is the exterior renovation. We are currently in the process of requesting quotes for the work. We anticipate that, just like the interior remodel, it will be a phased multi-year approach. Once we have all the quotes and develop our strategy, it will be shared with you. The Tahoe Chaparral Board of Directors needs you!! We need your proxy cards in order to be able to conduct normal business at the Annual Owner s Meeting (October 17 th ). If you have not submitted a proxy card, please do so (a copy is attached to the newsletter for your convenience). If you plan to attend and vote at the Annual Owner s Meeting, a proxy card is not needed. Online Bonus Time Request Form As mentioned in the past few newsletters, Bonus Time is available. You can now submit a request for Bonus Time via the website qmresorts.com/reservation-request/ Nightly Rate: $100 - Weekly Rate: $500 - Three (3) night minimum - Reservations can be made 60 days or less prior to arrival. Bedroom Counters Please do not sit/stand on the granite counters in the bedrooms. We had a recent incident where a counter was damaged and it is an extremely expensive repair. Ski Racks for Uphill Units We are looking into adding ski racks to the entry way of the uphill units; more information to follow. Hopefully we get more snow next ski season. Last quarter, I mentioned that the Board approved and instructed QM to contract with Hotel Internet Services to install and maintain Wi-Fi service. I am extremely happy to report that the service has been installed and is up and running. Basic Wi-Fi service (sufficient for and web browsing) is available in your room free of charge. There will be a required access code to utilize the service which may be collected at check-in or by contacting your Front Desk Staff. You will also have the option to upgrade your connection speed (sufficient for large file downloads, video and movie streaming, gaming, etc.) by purchasing additional bandwidth for $8.99/1 day, $17.99/3 days or $39.99/week. When the units were remodeled, many of the old original oil paintings were taken down and placed in storage. QM has been instructed to mount the paintings to the blank wall in the living room and the spare bedroom. We expect to have some left over paintings when this is completed. We anticipate offering any of the extra painting for sale to owners. Photos of any available paintings (along with pricing) may be posted on the website and we will bring a few to the October Owner s meeting for those interested. Have you seen the new website? If not, check it out at It has lots of helpful information (Use Week Calendar, Bonus Time, Newsletter, etc.) and videos of Tahoe Chaparral and Diamond Peak. If there is anything you would like to see on the website, please let us know. Addresses It is more efficient and cost effective to communicate with owners via instead of hardcopy mailing. If you have an account, please let us know about it so we can add you to our distribution list. To be added to our list, please contact Sophia Sanchez at sophia.sanchez@qmcorp.com As a reminder, the Board meets four times a year and our meetings are open to owners where you can attend and observe. The balance of the 2015 schedule is August 29 and October 17 (before Annual Owner Meeting). All meetings are held at QM Resorts, 515 Nichols Blvd Sparks, NV and start at 9:00 a.m. If you have any concerns, comments or questions, please contact myself or one of the other Board members. Respectfully, Craig Rader, President, TCROA 1
