I only found out about it by happenstance when Brenda and I coincidently ran into a chipper at Trump Marina s dinner buffet on Friday eve., July 28 th. Evidently there was an announcement in a South Jersey Newspaper (Courier Post) on the same day. I wasn t prepared to have enough cash on hand to make the chip purchases necessary and had to borrow the cash to supply my subscribers. Even the pit bosses had no initial clue about this new chip being issued. TAJ MAHAL HAS CHANGED ALL THEIR $5 & $25 RACK CHIPS It s about time! Taj Mahal s rack was getting so scroungy and grimy that many players were reluctant to touch them. Many of the rounded bicycle tire edged chips have been in use since the day Taj opened back in April of 1990! Finally; a subtle change in Taj s nickel and quarter rack chips took place with little fanfare. In fact, most chippers never even noticed the change other than the feel that a brand new chip has over one that s been on the tables for over 15 years! The new replacement nickels have slightly different color edge markings than the previous original issue. The new quarters look the same as the original $25 issue except a security dot has been added to the center insert on the new replacement chips. WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN, YOU CAN BET MR. CHIPS WILL BE THERE TO PICK THEM UP!
