16 In Closing The CMS Center for Technology and Engineering is a 21 st Century School The Center is unique in Rockdale County and is revolutionizing the educational experience of middle school students thru Aerospace Engineering Studies. The overall goal is to increase student achievement in math and science and to inspire students by exposing them to rigorous real world problems and issues using research-based, proven curriculum. The campus is fully wireless with a 1:1 computer ratio for all students in the school year allowing a technology-rich program mimicking the workplace. All students will have the opportunity to obtain Carnegie Credits during their 8 th grade year in Math, Science and Language Arts as well as to obtain industry certifications in Engineering and Technology. The capstone project will give students the opportunity to develop apprenticeships with business partners.
