Ability to Solve Circuits using various Network Theorems. Student Will be ready with the most important Network Functions. Ability to Express given Electrical Circuit in terms of A,B,C,D and Z,Y Parameter Model and Solve the circuits. Ability to synthesis circuit using foster and causer forms. Also student will able to determine stability of the circuit. Students will understand working of different filters and attenuators. Subject: Engineering Mathematics To apply the different technique to solve higher order ordinary differential equation and its application in engineering. Use of Fourier and Z transform to solve various differential and integral equations which are used in various engineering areas. To analyze the different type of statistical methods and probability distribution and its application in engineering To understand the fundamental concept of vector differentiation to solve the

3 various problems in science and engineering. To study the vector integral calculus and its application in various engineering streams. Fundamental understanding of function by using differential methods. Subject: Sensors & Transducers-II Ability to apply different flow measurement techniques in the field of process flow measurement. Ability to apply different level measurement techniques in the field of industrial process level measurement. Ability to apply different viscosity & density measurement techniques in the field of process control applications. Ability to apply different sensors for different parameters measurement the field of process control applications. Students will able to design different signal conditioning circuits for physical parameter measurement. Students will be capable to apply signal conditioning circuits for various applications in process control applications. Subject: Automatic Control Systems No Course Outcomes Classify the control systems. Develop mathematical models of control systems. Able to find time domain behavior of systems. Analyze the Linear time invariant system in time domain. Analyze the Linear time invariant system in frequency domain. Get familiar with modern control theory.

4 Subject: Electronics Instrumentation Use DSO, CRO, RMS Meter, DMM, LCR-Q Meter, Universal counters for measurement of various parameters. Understand various Waveforms Generators, Arbitrary waveform generator & their proper practical implementation. Understand Multiplexer, Demultiplexer, PLL, VCO used for different circuit implementation. Design ADC/DAC used for different mini and major projects. Subject will have the way to Virtual Instrumentation in automation sector and will also help in further research. Develop students technical skills and also awareness to handle different types of signal analyzers. Subject: Digital Techniques Students will demonstrate the knowledge of operation of logic gates, Boolean algebra including algebraic manipulation/simplification, and application of DeMorgan s theorems. The Student will gain the knowledge of different logic family and their Interfacing. Able to design Multiplexer, Demultiplexer Decoder, Encoder Students will be able to analyze and design of digital combinational circuits,half adder, full adder, Flip flop, Counter, Students will be able to analyze and design synchronous counters and asynchronous counters Students will be able to understand the architecture of FPGA and CPLD & Applications of digital circuits Subject: Industrial Drives Understand construction, working, characteristics, triggering and commutation of different power devices. Understand Principle, Working, and Classification of converters, choppers and inverters. Understand Principle, Construction, Working, Characteristics and Applications of DC motors. Understand Principle, Construction, Working, Characteristics and Applications of AC motors. Understand speed control techniques for different DC motors. Understand speed control techniques for different AC motors.

5 TE Instrumentation & Control Subject: Embedded System Design Students will be able to understand fundamental knowledge and develop the programmes for 8051 microcontroller. Students will be able to know different timer/counter and interrupt of 8051 µc. Also to develop the programs for timer/counter and interrupt of 8051 µc. Students will be able to get knowledge of serial communication as well as interfacing display, ADC and DAC with 8051 microcontroller. Students will be able to get knowledge of different sensors, stepper motor, relays, RTC, serial devices interfacing and design different applications of 8051 µc. Students will be able to get knowledge of Architecture, Assembly and C programming of AT Mega8535 microcontroller. Students will be able to get knowledge of timer-0, UART and ADC of AT Mega8535 microcontroller. Subject: Instrumental Methods for Chemical Analysis. Subject will provide a thorough knowledge of various units used in chemical analysis & electro analytical methods like potentiometer, voltammeter, filter photometer & Spectrophotometer.. Subject will make students aware of IR sources, IR detectors as well as types of Photometers along with AC & DC arc excitation, Floirimeter,Mass Spectrometry.. Students will be able to understand principle & constructional details of mass analyzers, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography & ionization methods... Subject will explain the concept of X- ray spectrometry, Bragg s law, principle of Abbe s differential refract meter along with different types of counters. Students will able to understand different separative methods of analysis.. Student will understand functions of various radioactive Instruments.

6 Subject: Control System Component. Ability to use of switches relays & contactors for various process control applications.. Ability to develop the electrical wiring, sequencing & interlocking with safety of motors.. Ability to develop the various pneumatic system circuits for various industrial applications.. Ability to develop the different hydraulic system circuits for various hydraulic system applications.. Students will able to use the various auxiliary components in industrial applications.. Students will be capable of applying the knowledge of intrinsic safety in hazardous areas of industries. Subject: Control System Design Analyze the system in time and frequency domain. Design the compensator for required specifications using classical mathematical tools. Tune the PID controllers using classical approach. Design the controllers using direct synthesis approach. Design the state feedback controllers and observers. Analyze the controller performance using performance indices Subject: Industrial Organization & Management Knowledge of basic mathematics and fundamental engineering involved in agriculture instrumentation. An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems related to different process industry. An ability to identify knowledge to understand the irrigation systems & application of SCADA in DAM parameters. An ability to identify knowledge to understand instrumentation weather stations. An ability to carry out self-learning in standards used in food processing industry. An ability to carry out self-learning in advanced Automation in Food Industry.

7 Subject: Digital Signal Processing s No Course Outcomes Students should able to classify the signals and systems. Students should able to obtain mathematical model of systems for analysis of LTI systems. Students should able to obtain frequency response analysis using DFT. Able to find frequency response analysis using FFT. Able to design Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filters for various applications. Students should able to design Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters for various applications. Subject: Process Loop Components No Course Outcomes The graduates will become familiar with fundamentals of process control loops with standard symbols used in process diagrams. The graduates will learn process characteristics and analyze the need of transmitters and converters in process control. The graduates will understand the continuous & discontinues control actions with tuning methods of PID controller. The graduates will learn and developed the PLC ladder programming which is very useful in automatic process control. The graduates will able to learn need and use of the final control elements control applications. The graduates will be able to design of the control valve for gas, vapors and liquid services.

8 Subject: Unit Operation and power plant Instrumentation The student will gain the basic knowledge of various unit operations involved in process industries. An ability to design and analyze different mass transfer and heat transfer devices. The student will gain the basic knowledge of renewable, nonrenewable energy sources and their availability in world. An ability to understand different power generation plants for generation of electricity. Ability to understand turbine instrumentation, its start-up and shut-down process. The student will gain the basic knowledge of site selection, performance, handling and safety of various power plants Subject: Instrument and System Design Students will be able to learn and understand basic electronics system design and related standards. Students will be able learn and understand concept of grounding, shielding, EMI/EMC and ESD effects. Students will be able to learn and understand analog system design and application based ICs for analog system design. Students will be able to learn and understand digital system design and application based ICs for digital system design. Students will be able to learn and understand basics of PCB technology and design techniques of PCB design. Students will be able to learn and understand basics of system performance and documentation. Subject: Biomedical Instrumentation Students will understand the concept of different types of bio-electrodes & biotransducer for measurement of bio-signals & physiological parameters. An ability to identify knowledge of basics of human cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Students will learn about construction and working of Instruments like ECG and also able to understand the concept of Plethysmography & various Blood flow measurement techniques Students will learn about central nervous system, Monitoring instruments like EEG & be familiarizing with mechanism of muscle, Monitoring instruments like EMG. Students will understand the anatomy of Ear, Eye & there Instruments like audiometer. Students will learn about respiration system & instruments like Spiro meters, Oxygenators etc & role of Instrumentation engineer in the medical field.

9 BE Instrumentation & Control Subject: Process Dynamics and Control Analysis and design of controller for safety and process monitoring and understand the need for scaling of instruments. Ability to gain knowledge and analysis of unit processes and unit operations. Ability to understand and analysis how process dynamics and control are related to materials and systems of unit operations. Ability to design appropriate controller, its tuning and analysis for various process control systems. Subject: Project Engineering & Management Knowledge of basic mathematics and fundamental engineering involved in project engineering and management. An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems related to project engineering and management. An ability to identify knowledge of project engineering and management is essential for successful completion of any project. An ability to carry out self-learning in advanced software related to project engineering and management An ability to identify knowledge of Cold Commissioning and hot Commissioning, Tendering and bidding process. An ability to identify knowledge of On site inspection and testing (SAT) and Customer Acceptance Test (CAT). Subject: Computer Techniques and Applications To explain the operating system functions in detail. To know the various memory management concepts To differentiate real time operating system and operating system. To study the use of various communication protocols. To evaluate the performance of any developed software. To use the proper communication channel and software for transforming and storing the data.
