2 ABOUT OUR COLLEGE : NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PATNA is the 18 th National Institute Of Technology created by the M.H.R.D Govt. of India after the rechristening the erstwhile Bihar College Of ing Patna on NIT Patna marked its humble beginning in1886 with the establishment of pleaders survey training school which was subsequently promoted to Bihar College Of ing Patna in This made this institute the 6 th Oldest ing Institute Of India. The institute is situated on the south bank of holy river Ganges behind Gandhi Ghat, one of the most important and reverential place of Patna. At present the Institute has seven disciplines viz. Architecture, Civil Engg.,Computer Science & Engg., Electrical Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Information Technology Engg., And Mechanical Engg. And well established departments of Physics, Mathematics And Humanities and Social Science. NIT Patna aims at setting out very high education standards and holds long record of academic excellence. The pedagogical aspects have been formulated to suit not only the needs of the contemporary industrial requirements but also to develop human potential to its fullest extent in a range of professions. 3 ABOUT SAE AND SAEINDIA: The Society of Automotive s (SAE) founded in 1905 is an international engineering society established to further develop mobility on land, in air, and in space. SAE sets the standards in fields such as ground vehicles, aerospace, refrigerants and fuel cells, to name only a few of the areas currently in SAE s purview. Website- SAEINDIA founded in 1994 is an affiliate society of SAE international, registered as an Indian non profit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility community in India. Principal emphasis is placed on transport industries such as automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle. Website-

4 ABOUT THE EVENT: SUPRA SAE INDIA is the Student Formula Competition, which presents the challenge to various teams of undergraduate and graduate students to design, fabricate, develop and compete with small formula style vehicles. It facilitates the students with an opportunity to deal with a practical problem using their innovative and creative ideas, aiming to construct a formula-style racing car with most economic model. The objective of the event is bringing out the student s talent to serve the nation for the years to come, in fulfilment of the Automotive Mission Plan (AMP2016) a dream to make India an International Automotive Hub. 5 About Our Team AAVEGA Our Team, AAVEGA, is a group of 25 budding Mechanical engineers from NIT Patna SAE Collegiate Club, National Institute Of Technology,Patna, who have taken the initiative to participate in SUPRA AAVEGA - which symbolizes Passion, Speed and Quickness- aptly describes the team whose members are energetic, Smart-working and quick in action.
