2 PRESIDENT (Jan Mar 2012) Mr. R.Dayal Mr. R Dayal, is presently Executive Director (Production Engineering) in Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Mechanical Engineering graduate from BITS, Pilaniin 1974, worked with M/s Hindustan Motors and M/s. BHEL - areas of Production and QA. since 1985 in Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) worked in various areas -Quality of incoming Parts, Quality Assurance, after Sales Service & Supply Chain. Since August 2004, looking after Production Engineering, Production Services and Tool& Die Shop. Professional Highlights: Played a key role in MSIL achieving, Conformity of production for export of vehicles, ISO 9002 certification and recertification, CII-Exim Business Excellence Award in 1998 and JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey Award in the years 2000 & Set up flexible production facilities including up-gradation, engine plants, civil construction, utilities etc. Other activities: Part time director to the board of Mark Auto Ltd from 2001 to 2005, Part time Director to the board of M/s JBM Limited and M/s Caparo India Limited since 2005 and Co-Chairman ITI Rohtak. Actively participated in various committees setupbybureauofindianstandards,ciiandsiam. Mr. Dayal is actively involved in SAEINDIA and is currently its President. Mr. Dayal was Chairman of the organising committee of 5th International Mobility Conference on Emerging automotive technologies global & Indian perspective organised by SAEINDIA from 9th to11th Jan 08 in New Delhi, attended by more than 500 delegates from India & abroad. He was also Chair Section Board for Two terms from 2006 Jan Dec.2009.

15 The EFFI-CYCLE 2011 tasks the students to design, fabricate and validate a 2-seater three wheeled vehicle powered by humanelectrichybridpower.theeventisspreadoveracourseof3days that test the vehicle for the sound engineering practices that have gone into it the agility of the vehicle in terms of gradability, speed, acceleration and maneuverability characteristics and finally its ability to endure that treacherous durability test. Nearly 90 teams registered for participation in the second edition of this event, up from 25 for its maiden event, indicating immense popularity the EFFI- CYCLE has garnered with the students. Based on an exhaustive scrutiny process, 37 teams were selected for participation in the event that was scheduled from 14th - 16th October 2011 at University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Chandigarh. Two Day AWIM HIGHER CHALLENGES Training Program by Mr. Matthew M. Miller, Director, SAE Foundation & Pro Professional Program, SAE Intl., on 14 th & 15 th Nov 2011 at Japanese Hostel, Gurgaon.

16 TWO AWIM NATIONAL OLYMPICS AWIM National Olympics 2010 was conducted at Nakshatra Lawns, Nashik on 9 th January 2011 & Wisdom High International School of Nashik emerged as the National Champions in the competition. AWIM National Olympics 2011 was conducted at Jamia Sports Complex, New Delhi on 13 th Nov 2011 & St. Columba s School of Delhi emerged as the National Champions in the competition.
