Attach legs or column, in the previously shown locations, using the screws provided. Assemble column base as shown. 5 Installing Legs, Column & Brace to Tops (cont.) 3. Attach the reinforcing brace for 66, 72 & 78 long tapered and D tables (unless using a column support) using the screws provided. Two (2) pilot holes at each end of the brace are provided. See figures 1 & 2. 6 c:scape Beam or Storage with Connect Zone NOTE: Beams and storage rails have holes on their undersides, for discrete positioning along their lengths. These holes are located 1-1/2" apart along the lengths of the beam and storage rail. Beam Storage Unit w/ Connect Zone 1. After attaching legs, column or brace per pages 4 & 5, attach the tether mounting brackets to the tether L brackets as shown with the screws provided. For beam application, go to step 2. 7 c:scape Beam 2. For beam applications, install the tether brackets onto the beam at the desired location and width to align with the pockets on the underside of the table. NOTE: If tether is in lowest 2 positions, tether will stick down below the reveal and trap skin on. Mount skin first, then lower tether brackets. NOTE: The tether bracket can be located as close as 1/2 from the end of the beam. 2a 2b 2c Installing tether brackets: a) Hook the tether bracket over the top lip of the beam. b) Swing the bottom ot the tether in, and push on the lower part of the bracket until the spring pin snaps over the bottom edge of the beam. c) Slide the tether bracket left or right until the spring pin pops into the appropriate positioning hole. Reveal Skin 3. Removing tether brackets: a) With a finger or screwdriver tip, depress either side of the spring pin lever at the bottom rear of the bracket to disengage the spring pin. 3a 3b 3c b) Rotate bottom of bracket out, and remove. 8 c:scape Beam (cont.) 4. Adjust the height of the tether brackets to align with the leg or column height. a) Loosen set screws using a 3/32" Allen/hex drive. Loosen until upper "L" bracket can slide freely, but DO NOT remove screws. 4a TIP: Tether brackets arrive from the factory adjusted for a 28-1/2" desk height. b) Position upper "L" bracket at desired height, and tighten screws. When the next-up holes are tangent with the top surface of the bracket, the receiver holes for the screws are aligned with the screws. LOOSEN, DO NOT TIGHTEN 5 HOLES SHOWING = 28-1/2" POSITION TIP: Do not over-tighten set screws! The aluminum threads of the bracket may become stripped. 9 c:scape Beam (cont.) 5. With the help of another installer, set the table on the tether mounting brackets and secure as shown with screws provided. 6. Verify that the table is as level as possible with the tether bracket 1/2 height adjustments. Adjust the height as needed, per step 4. FOUR (4) PER TETHER Page 9 of 11

10 c:scape Storage with Connect Zone FOUR (4) PER TETHER 7. For storage applications, flip the top over onto a non-abrasive, protected surface and secure the L bracket assemblies to the underside of the table in the pockets as shown with the screws provided. Page 10 of 11

Turn entire table assembly over and lift with two (2) installers while a third installer guides the hooks into the top lip of the storage rail (8a), then rotate the table assembly until the spring pin snaps over the bottom edge of the storage rail (8b). Slide the table assembly left or right until the spring pins pop into the positioning holes (8c). CAUTION TIP OVER HAZARD Improper engagement of spring pins could affect the stability of the table which may result in personal injury. 8a 8b 8c SPRING PIN NOTE: The tether bracket can be located as close as 3-1/2 from the end of the storage unit. NOTE: If a tethered table is supported by two adjacent storage units, the storage units must be ganged together using a Low Storage Ganging Bracket (CQLG) - See Specification Guide. 9a 9b 9c 9. Removing tether brackets: a) With a finger or screwdriver tip, depress either side of the spring pin lever at the bottom rear of the bracket to disengage the spring pin. b) Rotate bottom of bracket out, and remove. 10. Verify that the table is as level as possible with the tether bracket 1/2 height adjustments. Adjust the height as needed, per step 4. Page 11 of 11
