1 How To Prepare Perfect Binding Artwork? (Refer diagram) Bleeding: Bleed out the background on all sides from Trim Size. Safe Zone: - Allocate inwards from Trim Size along all sides EXCEPT for the sides along the spine. - Allocate 1 away from the spine. Creasing Line: The creasing line will be made at 10mm away from spine. SPINE (Refer diagram) Spine for Outer Cover: Text on spine width must have: - at least 6mm spine width - minimum font size 4pts - safe zone allocated 1. from all sides of spine. Spine for Inner Cover: - cannot contain any artwork - 3mm from the spine MUST be blank / no artwork. INNER PAGES (Refer diagram) Bleeding: Bleed out the background on all sides from Trim Size. Safe Zone: - Allocate inwards from Trim Size along all sides EXCEPT for the sides along the spine. - Allocate 1 away from the spine. ALERT!!! 4 How To Calculate Spine Width? Here is a simple formula to help you on counting spine width. Spine = [(Inner Material Thickness x Sheets) + (2 x Cover Material Thickness)] Remark: Rounded up the number to the next value, not lower than actual value when you get the spine calculation. Eg., 5.2 = 6.0 and 5.8 = 6.0. You need to prepare 3 files and upload in our ordering page Cover Artwork Page 1: Outer Cover (Outer Back + Outer Front) Page 2: Inner Cover (Inner Front + Inner Back) Inner Artwork Prepare in single page with 4 side full bleed. Pg1 - Inner Page 1 Pg2 - Inner Page 2 Pg3 - Inner Page 3 Pg4 - Inner Page 4...up to the pages you order. Jpeg for Reference To avoid wrong page sequence, you must prepare a Dummy in jpeg file showing the arrangement of your pages. Arrange your Dummy in open size in the correct page sequence. Save all Jpeg in 72dpi and ZIP it. Make sure all your file in correct page sequence! BLANK PAGES: If your booklet has blank pages, leave those pages empty and arrange them accordingly.
