CUTTNG 05- abric A, cut: 4½"x8½" rectangle for Center lock abric E, cut: 5½"x 4½" WO strips for Wide order. 5½"x 8½" WO strips for Wide order abric, cut: "xwo strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut "x48½" strips for sashing. 5 "xwo strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut "x45½" strips and "x44½" strips for sashing. "x4½" WO strips for sashing. 4 "x8½" WO strips for sashing. ½"xWO strips. Sub-cut ½"x8½" strips for nner order. ½"xWO strips. Sub-cut ½"x6½" strips for nner order. "xwo strip. Sub-cut 4 "x0" strips for sashing. 6 ½"xWO strips for the binding abric, cut: 6 ½"x WO strips. Sub-cut 4 4½" squares for Small Corner locks abric, cut: 7 7/8"xWO strips. Sub-cut 88 7/8" squares for Pinwheel locks abric, cut: 0"x WO strip. Sub-cut 4 0" squares for Large Corner locks.

3 SEWNG NSTRUCTONS Quilt Center Sew ½"x8½" abric strip to each side of the 4½"x8 ½" abric A rectangle. Sew ½"x6½" abric strip to the top and to the bottom of the abric A rectangle to make the Center lock (ig.). Half Square Triangle Units 4 5 Using a mechanical pencil draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the 88 7/8" abric squares. With right sides together pair marked background squares with 44 7/8" abric G squares and 44 7/8" abric H squares. Stitch a scant ¼" on opposite sides of the marked line (ig. ). Cut on marked line (ig. ) to yield 88 half square triangle units each from abrics G and abric H. Press away from background. Trim units to measure ½"x½" with seams (igs. 4 & 5). ig. Pinwheel locks Stitch two H half square triangle units and two G half square triangle units together to make one pinwheel block (ig. 6). Repeat to make 44 pinwheel blocks total. Make 44 locks should measure 4½"x4½" with seams. ig. 6 Pieced Center orders Sew 5 pinwheel blocks together to make inner Side order (ig. 7). Repeat to make a second inner Side order. nner Side order Sew 4½" abric C square, 4 pinwheel blocks and 4½" abric C square together, in that order, to make one inner Top/ottom order. 4 SEWNG NSTRUCTONS cont. Pieced Outer orders Sew 7 pinwheel blocks together to make strip. Sew "x8½" abric strip to the top and to the bottom of 5½"x8½" abric E strip. Sew this strip to the bottom of the pinwheel block strip to make outer Side order (ig. 9). Repeat to make a second outer Side order. 7 Pinwheels E Outer Side order Make Unit should measure 0½"x8½" with seams ig. 9 Sew 6 pinwheel blocks together to make strip. Sew this strip, "x4½" abric strip and 5½"x4½" abric E strip together lengthwise and in that order to make outer Top/ottom section (ig. 0). Repeat to make a second outer Top/ottom section. 6 Pinwheels E Outer Top/ottom order Section Make Unit should measure 0" x4½" with seams ig. 0 Sew 0" abric square and "x0" abric strip, to opposite ends of the Top/otom order section (ig. 0). Then sew "x44½" abric strip to the E" side of the Top/ottom order (ig. ). Repeat to make a second outer Top/ottom border. E ig. Outer Top/ottom order Make Unit should measure 0½"x44½" with seams 4

QULT TOP ASSEMLY (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.) 4 Sew inner Side order to each side of the Center lock. Sew inner Top/ottom border to the top and to the bottom of the Center lock.

Sew one outer Side order to each side of the Center lock. Sew outer Top/ottom border to the top and to the bottom of the Center lock to make the quilt top. Sew "x48½" abric strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew "x45½" abric strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. Sew ½"x49½" abric strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew ½"x49½" abric strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. A Quilt Layout Layer and quilt as desired.
