ASIAN INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE SCHOOL, RUWAIS ACADEMIC YEAR NAME: SUBJECT English,Maths,Evs CLASS: UKG SECTION: -- TERM: l - (April to June) 1.Sight word snow globe English Project 1
Materials needed for the Sight Word Snow Globe Plastic snow globe Fake snow (just a couple handfuls) Chipboard trees from the scrapbooking section of the craft Write the words that you want to review on the chipboard trees Put the snow and sequins in first and then add the trees being careful to place some snow in between the trees. If you do not create space between the trees they will stick together in the snow. 2. Build a Piano with a word family letter. Use piano keys with words for each family. Cut words on piano keys and mix them.a Child should read the word on the key and connect it to the right Piano with paperclip, sticker etc.enjoy! 2
3. Build family houses and a variety of neighbourhood elements that can be used to create a Word Family Town. Fun Summer Math Projects To prepare for a smooth re-entry and a successful second term, don't let the student forget Math basics of counting, after and before numbers, backward counting etc. during the long summer vacation. Math is fun and the student will enjoy if you include counting or pre-number skills at home. 3
1. Number Fan : Directions for making number fans: 1. Print a set of number cards.printing them on colored cardstock works well. 2. Laminate them and cut them out. Punch a hole in the bottom of each card and assemble them in numerical order (place the question mark at the end). 3. Use a brad or small ring to hold the cards together. 2. Number Portrait: Compose a portrait using the digits 1 to 7 in this numbers-themed craft. 4
Steps 1. Cut a rectangular piece of construction paper for the frame. Use a pair of craft scissors to make fancy edges. 2. To make the background, cut a smaller rectangle from another color of construction paper or colored paper. 3. Glue the background on top of the frame. 4. Cut out a big circle or oval on construction paper for the face. You can use any color, depending on how you want your Number Portrait's face to look like. Make sure the circle or oval fits nicely on your background frame. 5. Draw and cut the numbers 1 to 7 to make your portrait's facial features: Two number 1's for the eyebrows Two number 6's for the eyes One number 2 for the nose One number 4 for the mouth Two number 7's for the ears Five number 3's and five number 5's for the hair 5
6. Glue the circle or oval onto the background frame. 7. Glue the numbers to make the eyes, eyebrows, ears, nose, mouth and hair. 8. Draw details with crayons and give your portrait lots of character. I've made mine into an old lady. Mrs. Number has glasses, earrings and a ruffled blouse My Picture Frame Puzzle with backward counting : The picture here is just an illustration. Instead of this picture you can use a nice colorful picture of the child. Mark lines as shown in the picture and also write the number from 10 to 1 at the bottom. Firstly print the student picture in A4 size sheet. Cut the picture in strips along the lines drawn and laminate it. When the child arranges the numbers in backward sequence it will unfold in their own picture. 6
EVS Projects Summer vacation is a welcome break.break from fixed schedules, rules and regulations of the school. Freedom brings more responsibility, so keeping this in mind; we have planned most of the activities to keep our children engaged and also help them in channelizing their energies. Kindly help and guide your child in completing his work and also exploring his creative self. 1) Make a model on Garden Creatures. 2) Make fun puppets(family members). 3) LET US THINK Good Habits and Good Manners are lifelong assets and manners must be practiced until they become a habit. So help your child to think and find a picture of a good habit they practiced and stick it on a chart paper. 7
4. Make a flower and add the things a plant needs to live (sun, air, water, soil).alsolabel the plants and needs and its parts. The school will remain closed for summer holidays from 26th June 2016 to 27th August The children must submit the project on the re -opening date, i.e. - 28th August Thanks & Regards, UKG Teachers and Supervisor 8
