Children will hang their stockings onto a piece of construction paper and decorate.

Have students work in pairs, approaching each bag and investigating whether the number of counters can be split in half or not by decorating them.

Have each student finish their snowman by adding parts that are geometric shapes. When finished, they meet with a partner who will identify how many of each shape was used.

The students take turns cutting a strip into two pieces, while the other puts the pieces on the shorter or longer side of the template.
