Representatives of many KC-Metro-area Emergency Communications organizations were present including SATERN, Wyandotte County RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service), the American Red Cross, KC HEART (The Kansas City Hospital Amateur Radio Team), ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services), & MARS (Military Amateur Radio System). Fifty-two people attended! SATERN was one of the sponsors of the event.

February 13, 2017 Sydney Fong (916) Lake Oroville, the second-largest manmade reservoir in California after Shasta, registered its lowest elevation ever at 645 feet above sea level on Sept. 7, Last year, on Dec. 9, the lake came close to this record, dipping down to 649 feet.
