1 Volume 3 Number 2 Febuary Pizza Party! There is no membership meeting this month because it is time for our annual Pizza Party! The party was originally scheduled to be held at Toni and Joes by the southside Walmart. However there was a charge to use the room so we decided to move it over to the Pizza Ranch, 1761 S Pueblo Blvd, Pueblo, CO It is in the same shopping center as Harbor Freight Tools. Membership badges are available. If you want one, it will be provided free of charge to members. Please contact AD0JL (richard@ad0jl.com) with your name and call sign. The next batch will be printed before our regular meetings. Calendar of Events February 12 th - PARC Pizza Pizza Ranch 6:30 pm. February 22 nd - ARES Pueblo ESC 6:00 pm. (ARES meetings are now on the last Thursday of the month) March 12 th - PARC Membership Pueblo ESC 6:00 pm. All meetings are now being held at the new Pueblo County Emergency Services Center 101 W. 10 th St. Pueblo, unless otherwise noted. It is at the corner of 10 th and Main. 1

Checking into a net is one of the best ways to ease into the hobby. It is also a good way to learn net procedures should you want to get involved in emergency communications. 2

3 Club News The repeater on Baculite Mesa is on the final stages to be linked up to the Cheyenne Mountain Repeater Group. This will greatly extend the range of this repeater. Bill Nicoll is also putting a 70 cm coordinated repeater pair up at his cabin in Rosita. This will also be linked and should provide good coverage. Chaz Carmichel will be taking over as repeater trustee for PARC from Deb Balsick. Winter Field Day was well received by the community. The communications trailer was set up at the southside Walmart in Pueblo on Saturday Jan 27. Dan Wantuck talks on a radio inside the emergency communications trailer, on site at the Southside Walmart in Pueblo, Colorado on Jan, 27, (John jaques, The Pueblo Chieftain) Left.
