6 Electrical onnection / onnection Types / llowale Phase urrent Electrical onnection Type ZSS phytron stepper motors are 8-lead versions. The motors can e used with unipolar or ipolar control mode, as the windings can e differently connected. - lead or -lead connection is applicale for the unipolar control mode. In the ipolar control mode, -lead motor wiring is required, windings connected in parallel or in series. The information in the ZSS motor connection leaflet (delivered with each motor) must e regarded when wiring the motor in order to provide for E compliant wiring. The last digits of the motor's type numer define the rated current. Example: ZSS.., The rated current is defined for full step operation, at ipolar control mode, with parallel connected motor windings. ccording to the connection mode, the motor windings receive different currents. Therefore, for identical power dissipation in the motor, the allowale phase current is determined y the connection mode.
