Together with direct light from its diffuser, the discreet indirect component on walls or ceilings produces a pleasant room feel. The optionally coloured corona creates a pleasant atmosphere even in waiting rooms or wellness areas. HELISSA is available in two design sizes that are in proportion to rooms of any size and provide just the right amount of light. With its textured diffuser, HELISSA boasts an excellent light output ratio and provides uniform, glare-free illumination. The diffuser unit with its integral aluminium bezel, which is available in various finishes, underscores the luminaire s high-class character. HELISSA is naturally at home in all situations where attractive, efficient lighting is required. 4 Discreet and adaptable the universal HELISSA design High-grade materials The diffuser is made of UV- and impact-resistant polycarbonate, with anti-static coating. The diffuser is fitted in a solid aluminium bezel, which not only accentuates its refined look but also makes it exceptionally robust. Carefully coordinated materials preserve the luminaire s classy looks and ensure trouble-free operation over many years. Agreeable appearance Glare-free light directly from the diffuser ensures uniform general lighting. In addition, HELISSA is surrounded by a corona that lends the luminaire its light, floating effect. Optional foil filters that fit sideways into the diffuser give the corona the required colour, thereby providing accent lighting on walls or ceilings that is full of atmosphere. HELISSA makes every aspect of planning flexible. Two luminaire sizes with diameters of 362 and 450 mm, the option to fit fluorescent or compact fluorescent lamps, the various finishes of the integral aluminium bezel, and optional accessories all provide plenty of creative scope for lighting designers and architects and make sure that even nondescript areas can now be rescued from their shadowy existence. Profiled design HELISSA s graceful silhouette resembles a drop of water the chrome colour version is shown here, for instance. Besides the ballast, the housing optionally accommodates an emergency lighting module. This eliminates the need for any preparations on site. The range of accessories includes a set of foil filters to create a corona of the required colour.

6 Flexible, efficient and amazingly uncomplicated Easy installation and maintenance HELISSA s attractive features are immediately apparent even when installing it. The entire luminaire consists of just two basic parts: a backplate and a diffuser unit. A precise twistand-lock mechanism ensures convenient, secure attachment of both components. Just fit the diffuser unit and twist to secure it. It releases just as easily to allow straightforward relamping and cleaning without the use of any tool or need for qualified personnel. IP40 protection prevents ingress of dust and insects, thereby minimising maintenance costs. Electronic ballasts used in conjunction with the following lamps ensure excellent energy efficiency: Design size 1 (Ø 362 mm): 2 x 9 W TC-SEL 1 x 22 W T16-R Design size 2 (Ø 450 mm): 2 x 18 W TC-L 1 x 40 W T16-R 1 x 55 W T16-R Flexible connection Wall or ceiling-mounted connection is especially versatile thanks to the large terminal compartment behind the backplate.
