2 Spring Has Sprung Board Art Painting Project Create in January to prepare marketing & promotion for April Supplies Wooden board pallet, rectangular Wood stain, dye, or paint of your choice Patterns printed on plain paper, sized appropriately for the board Saral transfer paper Pencil Assorted brushes Acrylic Paint Bright Blue, White, Yellow, Coral Pink, Leaf Green Directions Stain, dye, or paint the whole front of the pallet with a large flat brush. Allow to dry. Using the finished project as a guide, position the patterns with the transfer paper beneath on the pallet. Transfer the designs. Place a few flowers under the jumping rabbit and one of either side of the rabbit. Paint the letters Bright Blue. Paint the bunny White. Paint the flowers Coral Pink with Yellow centers. Add stems and leaves in Leaf Green. Allow to dry. Project Medium: Board art Project Cost: $8 $10 Project Time: 1½ 3 hours For Ages: 12 & up

Consider making it RSVP only and adding extras (appetizer bar or dessert bar and BYOB) Plan a kids class for President s Day since most schools are closed. 5 Cupcakes for Mom Pottery Painting Project Create in February to prepare marketing & promotion for Mother s Day in May Supplies Bisque: Rectangular ruffled platter Masking pattern printed on plain paper Painting pattern printed on clay carbon paper Lettering pattern printed on clay carbon paper (optional) Picture of finished project Scissors Pen or pencil Assorted brushes (fan brush, round brushes, long liner brush) Sponge Glaze Colors White, Bright Teal, Red, Yellow, Bright Green, Blue, Orange, Black Directions Cut out the cupcakes from the masking pattern. Paint 2 3 coats of White all over the front of the platter, including the rim. While the last coat is still wet, position the paper cupcakes across the center of the platter. With a slightly wet brush, seal the edges of the paper to the platter. Paint or sponge 3 coats of Bright Teal all over the front of the platter, except for the rim. Allow to dry. Carefully remove the paper cupcakes. Line up the painting pattern of the cupcakes with the cupcake silhouettes on the platter. Transfer the details of each cupcake by tracing the pattern. Using the finished project as a guide, paint each cupcake with 2 3 coats of the appropriate color for each design detail. Allow to dry. If desired, transfer the lettering pattern. Paint the letters in either Black or White. Allow to dry. Paint 3 coats of Bright Teal over the back of the platter and carry the color to the edge on the front of the platter. Allow to dry. 8 Supplies Canvas: 11"x14" Patterns Graphite paper Pencil Assorted brushes Decoupage medium (optional) Summer Is Here! Canvas Painting Project Create in March to promote a June class Acrylic Paint Colors Light Turquoise, Bright Turquoise, Metallic Gold, White, Light Coral, Dark Coral Directions Place several small dollops of both shades of Turquoise all around the canvas. With a large, wide, flat brush, spread the paint in horizontal strokes to cover the whole front and sides of the canvas. Allow to dry. Place the graphite paper in the center of the canvas with the lettering pattern on top. Transfer the letters to the canvas. Paint the lettering in Metallic Gold. Allow to dry. Transfer the starfish to the canvas all around the lettering. Paint each starfish with one coat of White. Allow to dry. Paint each starfish Light Coral. While the Light Coral paint is still slightly wet, outline each starfish in Dark Coral, blending the color into some of the Light Coral. Allow to dry. Paint White dots in each starfish and randomly around the canvas. Allow to dry. If desired, apply a coat of decoupage medium to seal the paint.
